REP. JOHN MURTHA DIES AT 77

The Pennsylvania Democratic Representative, John Murtha, has died due to complications from a gallbladder surgery. He was 77. Murtha was the first Vietnam Veteran in combat to be elected to Congress in 1974. He retired from the Marine Corps and became a "critic" of the war in Iraq.

 

I remember when the Bush Administration tried to throw him under the bus in '05.

 

And the right-wing tried to tarnish his name. He was re-elected anyway. He would be missed.
