The new MK movie trailer is causing quite a buzz.

The first movie was not bad, and spawned a theme song that would be played everywhere from clubs to amusement areas. The second movie sucked balls, but a decent, respectable MK film is doable.



p.s - Liu Kang is the TRUTH...

 

I am not a fan of this. They turned away fron the orginal story lines. It is basically a different thing with the name mortal Kombat on it. This does not mean that it will not be a great movie though. Looks awesome. I am not to happy with Johnny killed so early.

Seven-O-Nine borg reference

What trek fan would NOT notice the lovely Jerri O'Ryan from Voyager.

I used to watch that show religiously..


I did notice an 'Easter-Egg' in the movie tho..

The O and the N were missing from Capt Jackson Briggs' name on his door, leaving only Jacks...who MK fans know as 'Jax'

Michael Jai White, who's playing him has some real skill, so you can assume Jax is going to be getting it in, hard-style.


As for Johnny Cage, that stupid bitch is always getting his ass killed off. He reminds me of Van-Damme, who always wins his fights in the movies, but has questionable fight-game off the screen. Dudes have been calling him out, but I guess they forget the guy was a former Kickboxing champion.

 

Do you consider that difficult?

Are you kidding? Who cares besides they are showing the story through the eyes of one of the antagonists. It's very smart writing. Most battles aren't about good or evil just who two guys figuring out who wants it more.

The dialog in that clip is atrocious.
I mean what kind of detective calls criminal aliases "code-names"?

The fans who played the video games. This isn't a battle like UFC. It is a movie. The reason why video game movies get so much of a bad rap is because the storylines that most video game players love is changed drastically.(Example:Super mario brothers) It will get high praise because of the last two movies(again, movies where stuff was changed drastically). It was not about the good and evil but the story lines and fatalities. They have changed it drastically. I still have to see it because I liked that they did it from sonya and jackson's side. I am not a big fan of kang. Johnny, what can I say, never really liked him but then again my main character was scorpion. Oh, how I disliked sub zero(my sibbling's fav character) so so much.

 

From what I read online the movie follows the storyline its just from another characters point of view. To me that's sucha great idea. I'm tired of the predictable good versus evil genre.
