Just tired of the same ol bullshit.

People posting absolute nonsense, too much info and pics of what they ate and pics of their ugly ass kids.

Not to sound harsh but god damn its getting annoying.

Also, one of my friends threatened to delete anyone that dared to vote for Mitt Romney. I've noticed a lot of intolerance from my left wing friends over the past few months. I mean, god forbin someone has a different opinion than them. Sheesh.

I agree with the TMI, and food. But you sound MEAN about the kids :(

I agree with the intolerance and stupidity. But

Do it!!! It's the best thing I've ever done. It sucks I can't keep up with the music scene, cause just about every band I know uses FB.

I been off of FB for over 6 months now, conversations are much better when they don't evolve around FB.

If you close your account, slowly start removing all you pictures and things you like on FB, the will make your footprint smaller when you leave.

If you got FB on your smartphone, start by getting rid of app and reboot your phone.:smt071

And all those long lost friends you found, get their phone numbers and email addresses before leaving.

Goodluck on FB withdraws too, don't give in.

A lot of people seem to get pissed about politics to the point where delete people. Funny shit.

I've thought about deleting my FB account too. But I actually like it for the simple fact that many of my old friends and family members use it and that's how we keep in touch.

Sounds a bit impersonal; but I'm so busy with 2 jobs that it's my way of keeping them up to speed on what's going on in my life.

However...they make deleting several friends such a long and tedious process that it makes you want to just unplug yourself all together from the FB/Social world.

I dont blame you. I get tired of people posting crap like...." i just let out a serious ass ripping terd...and it took me three wipes to clean my ass. what a day. damn there is blood in my terd."

"ooh corn in my terd. yummmy"

agreed. Facebook is good in the aspect of reconnecting. The reason I thought about taking down my account is because of the new Timeline format. Just when you get used to one format, you now have to, all of a sudden, learn another one.

....causes one to be a bit discouraged.

What about when you start to suffer from the shakes, tremors, night sweats and nightmares about what the latest update was and can't get it.

Facebook withdrawal can do a number on some folks. I've seen it first hand, some relatives of mine are addicted to Facebook.

One of my cousins closed her account and then a few days later opened it back up, despite her rant that she was done with Facebook, she just couldn't hold out. :D

LMAO!!! You are definitely a fun respite from the norm. :)

@ topic, I don't understand the addiction - addicted to what exactly??, lol...I only use it to stay updated and in contact with friends and family all over the world who are often hard to catch due to time-zones. And occasionally topics I'm passionate about. I love it.

I love me some Tarshi Facebook statuses. :smt023

I could do without all of the political crap from both sides, but I'm learning to ignore them as much as possible, otherwise I'd go crazy.

As for the OP, when people take THEIR political beliefs and use them to get rid of friends who, God forbid, don't believe exactly the way they do, not only were they clearly not friends in the first place, but the ones who get deleted should thank their lucky stars they don't have that moron in on their Facebook page anymore.

And yes, anyone who takes their political beliefs to that extreme is a moron. Being that one-sided is dangerous and extremely close-minded. Those who get the boot are better off, IMHO. :smt043:smt043

Completely jaisee that sentiment...I have a habit of maintaining my FB friends but when I reach a saturation point of too many BS posts I unsubscribe from that individuals updates. This makes for a much more pleasant FB experience. :smt080
