    :raises hand:

The sisters are notorious for this type of behavior. The last time a sista got in my face was in high school, I have zero tolerance for this level of disrespect.

You never know what was done or said before that video. I don't condone hitting people, but in his defense, you never know what was done or said before that video.

Maybe I'm biased because I was raised NEVER to disrespect, your MOTHER first and foremost, any woman, nor your elders, & moreover respect authority within reason.

I don't care if she came with a baseball bat, everything short of a sharp object or gun shouldn't warrant you to put your hands on a female. Man the fuck up, you know for the most part, a woman isn't gonna beat yo ass, so what's the point of hitting her, so you can show her how strong you are, try to control the situ through physical violence, gimmie a fuckin break. If she's as low down and dirty as people suspect, the witch didn't even deserve the time of day and effort he put into hitting her (allegedly). A true measure of a man with power is his ability not to wield it over the weak or vulnerable, to use his mind and words before his fists.

Unless it is literally a life or death situation for yourself or protecting a loved one, I cannot condone a man hitting a woman, just walk away. What kind of idiot would marry or date a woman with so little class and refinement that she would engage in disrespectful and verbally or physically abusive behavior in the first place. I advise all my clients, at the first sign of disrespect or low class behavior in a relationship, GET OUT NOW, it never ends well.

Of course but as anything easier said than done, and we all think more clearly when not confronted , add the fact both are young, both could have been drinking? As you can tell this is a touchy situation I know all too well I lived with such a hood rat for 7 yrs, I don't have enough finger and toes to tell you how many times I've been there, and no I never did clock her but ask me today? With all the shit she put me through you damn right I wish I had put her thru a wall at least once

I have not been in that situation so I have to ask, why stay in such an abusive situation after the first time she demonstrated such actions? To me, life is too short to have any kind of drama in your home/relationship, life will throw enough obstacles at you already without choosing to bring more trouble into your life. A man's house/relationship needs to be an oasis, where he gets refreshed, supported and nourished (and give the same) to go out the next day to continue the good fight.

Every person is responsible for his (or her) own choices and behavior; no one else is to blame for a person's choice to do wrong. His fuck up is on him 100% regardless of what she did or didn't do. She had no business acting a fool either, but there was no excuse for what he did no matter what kind of spin anyone wants to put on it.

The video makes it apparent that they both have issues; there is nothing healthy or positive in a relationship where any of that shit is tolerated.

Such a respectable approach to women and confrontation in general. :freehug:

My bf just made that same comment at dinner. Crazy what some people settle for.

    Christ, this TMZ bullshit.

I don't like the way this is being judged outside of proper legal channels. Unlike the Donald Sterling and Bruce Levenson incidents there is a legal remedy for domestic violence. Rice was indicted and will stand trial for what happened with his then fiancee.

For the NFL and Ravens to revise the punishment he was given by the league is cowardly and unfair. Stick to your guns and let due process in a court of law handle it from there.

My azz has always been too big to try to resolve an argument with a woman by using my physical strength.

A woman would have to come at me with a weapon before I'd be able to ever justify putting my hands on a woman.

If a female is bringing out that kind of rage in you, yall need to go separate ways.

I can't believe you actually typed that. Are you serious? You think he's the idiot for dating/marrying her? She's the low class, being disrespectful and abusive??? ..when HE knocked her out cold?

Thank you gentlemen, for being such!

This woman has been accused of 'hoodrat" foolish" "disrespectful" and all sorts of instigating behavior for "coming at him" when the FACTS are...HE ASSAULTED HER FIRST and when she dared to react back, he cold-cocked her, and then dragged her like a cave-man.

Inside the elevator it's apparent he strikes first
... she hits back ... and then Rice delivers the knockout blow.

The punch knocks Janay off her feet -- and she smashes her head on the elevator hand rail ... knocking her out cold. Ray doesn't seem phased ... and when the door opens, he drags her out into the hotel.

SO HE IS 100% IN THE WRONG HERE. Not her, at all.

The lesson that needs to be learned from this is that brothers need to learn how to stand up for themselves without being violent towards their women. Yes, women test men all the time but that doesn't mean you have to hit them. When I was in LA county jail, I met too many brothers in there for domestic violence. SMH it's a damn shame.
