Rapper Tyler The Creator describes Australians as "racists"

American hip-hop entertainer, Tyler The Creator, described Brisbane, Australia as a "city of racists." Tyler Okonma didn't hold back his comments on Twitter when he wrote: "They hate Niggas Out here."



The 20-year-old, who is also known by his stage name Tyler The Creator, and has nearly a quarter of a million followers on Twitter, told them that people in Brisbane were "racist as f**k" and that he was so 'uncomfortable' he wanted to go home. "I get this weird vibe," he wrote. Then he followed up his concerns with the comment: "I'm in Brisbane Right Now...They hate Niggas Out here."

He did not restrict is comments to the social networking site. He told the crowd at his sold-out show at at Brisbane's Hi-Fi theatre that he'd had a run-in with a "racist a**hole" at a KFC in Brisbane.

Aussies rebutal?

 

No argument from me. There are a lot of racists in Australia. But that's true for most countries, unfortunately.

I do think, however, that people from other western countries expect to come here and suddenly be in an exact replica of their own country. We're not America and we're not the UK. We're Australia. And there just aren't that many black people here.

 

There aren't many black people in Norway, Sweden, Finland but they seem to treat black men great when they go there to visit. I wonder why that is.

 

No idea. I've never been to any of those countries., you'd have to ask them. It may have something to do with our ancestors, or how some people are raised? I've, unfortunately, met quite a few young people in my area who are very racist towards aboriginals because of their parent's ignorant and uneducated views.
I mean, there are a great amount of people in Australia who are wonderful, but sadly, it's always the ones with the hate that stand out.


Should remember that this guy's experience could be mostly in his head too. I'm not doubting he ran into some racist idiot, but how many times have people judged an entire group on the actions of a few? Gotta take this with a grain of salt.

 

True but as a black person I tend to air on the side of caution since the past has shown me when it comes to race certain white people go overboard and everyone allows it. I don't want to die over some dumb shit.

 

You won't die in Australia (unless the wildlife gets you Mwahahahaha!). You'd probably, if anything happened, just get into a drunken brawl. Aussie men do love their drunken brawls. LOL And anyway, I'm sure you'd kick some Aussie ass.

This rapper is young and wet behind the ears. He should start by not mentioning the N word in any form,put his pants on,and act a little more intelligent. He either just isolated himself during this tour or just shooting off his mouth. If I was in his shoes I would look forward of seeing the Aussie honeyz after the show.
