Gillum never said he wanted to raise the corporate tax in FLA to 40%.
He said he wants to raise the corporate tax rate BY 40%, from 5.5%, one of the lowest in the country, to 7.7%, still a huge corporate tax break and lower than California's.

Socialism as it's used by progressives means using our tax dollars to pay for those priorities that matter most to all of us, not just the one-percent and giving them hundreds of billions in tax cuts they don't need.

The right isn't going to be able to turn progressive ideals into a bogeyman to scare people into voting against their own best interests.

Once more Americans begin to realize the economy is coasting along based on Obama era economic policies and not a single thing Trump has done, more politicians like Gillum are going to win elected office.
