Yep..just like the rioting Inmates in Smyrna, Delaware. They kill a 17 year vetetan C.O because they want more education in Prison. And of course, blame Trump. Liberal hysteria is a mental disease.
Nope. Black Urban Website. Plus, CBS News, Washington Post, Black Media Web...to name just a few Leftist sites.
This seems to be the way it is and yes historically there is usually some amount of violence/destruction involved. I just think it's possible (and way more productive) to do it without the violence and physical destruction. I think this just furthers the survival mode and rewards bad behavior even though we know that people are much more productive with positive (rather than negative) reinforcement. To sink to that level, which is possibly even worse than those they are protesting, is not productive at all. There needs to be a major shift in thinking here. It's a double edge sword. Americans may not pay attention until it becomes extreme, but then the extreme behavior makes people not want to listen to those who are acting out and it ends up invalidating what they are doing. Have to look at the bigger picture here.
Because every President refers to it as such, including, Obama. When you really think about it, It really is about the honoring of the History of Afican-Americans and their struggle and accomplishments, rather than all Black people, which varies from culture to culture world-wide.
Chump just gave a command that got civilians killed. The seals are for stealth missions, they are not supposed to get shot at from all directions. Six of them got hit and one died. Smh A friggin fighter jet had to save them. Pathetic. You say nothing about that? Please.
LOL. What is Black Urban Website? Is that literally the name of the site? How come you never post the link to the article/website whenever you post an article? You might as well just type White MSM News site too instead of typing up CBS News &Washington Post.
Just seems to me that if that was the way to go then Obama would have done it. I have to wonder who was actually consulted on this. As we know, plenty of "African American's" do not want to be called that. It reminds me of when California switched to calling different Asian groups "Pacific Rim". I have yet to meet one person who was ok with that one. I'm amazed at how passionate you are about defending everything he says and does. I understand the idea of wait and see. I don't know any out and out Republicans who are as into defending him as you are.
I've always wondered this myself. That, and how whatever it is seems to be taken as fact. I don't give a F who or what it is, there is always some interpretation involved. I think it's been said several times on here (I know I've said it) that chances are slim to none that people are going to change their opinions, so I don't really get the need to get into some intense arguing about any of it. Healthy discussion I'm all for, but the lets defend and/or attack at every turn doesn't really make any sense. It's all about right wrong and to date that has never furthered or solved anything.
Biased??? Really??? I free admit my distaste for Trump, but I feel this way because of Trump himself. If he wants people to embrace him... then he needs to actually do stuff that folks feel is in their best interests and the best interests of America as a whole. Of course Kellyanne advises that we not pay attention to his words, but to look at what's in his heart. I have no problem with the concept of people performing for inauguration festivities. Folks stayed away because they don't like Trump, his vision, his racism, hateful name-calling and so on, and so on. Even if you liked nothing about Obama's policies... He's been the polar opposite of Trump when it comes to dealing with people, so people actually like him. You can say the same for many others, but not at all with the very juvenile acting Trump. Clearly, that works for you, and the like and that's your choice. I don't take issue with improvements... I simply have no faith that Trump means well for ALL of America. I think his cabinet choices leave a lot to be desired, and that's why so many have serious concerns/anxiety about him. You can throw up the stuff as much as you want but I tend to form my opinion based upon a person's actions, and so far... Trump is exactly that which so many feared he'd be, and then some.
Do you know what you are talking about? CBS News IS leftist and The Washington Post is one of the most outspoken Leftist paper in the MSM. I post a bunch of links and yes, MTO is actually the most visited Urban site in the world with 100,000 hits a day and a record-breaking one million hits in one day. Like it or not, they were one of many whobposted the 10 Point plan.
Just an observation but individuals who like to get into those intense back & forths always seem to be of the belief that they are operating from either a moral or intellectual high ground, therefore they should be "winning" any exchanges and keep pushing back until they "win" the debate/discussion.
Many do not , but note, they opened the The National Museum of African American History and Culture, a Smithsonian Institution museum, established in December 2003. Passion..nah. Calm as a soft petal..just posting. You might want to reditect that attitude to others on here though, lol. Lots of insults, rage, imminent death and end of world hyperbole. Not to mention an inordinate amount of !!!! and ???? after their sentences.
@Bliss I think you're confusing Leftist with Liberal. NONE of the American corporate-owned MSM news outlets are leftist as far as I know.
So true. I've always found it best to look for the common ground and go from there. It's much more productive IMO. Maybe it would be a better idea to DO something about it rather than to argue about it too. I have to wonder if one was to take the time they do to find articles to agree with their opinions and "prove" their POV and invested that time and energy in creating the changes they are passionate about, what the outcome would be.
Of course he thinks he's doing great by black people. Did you see/read about he and Spicer speaking about Frederick Douglass? It was in the present tense!!!! Really???... Trump in his own words said long ago that he "has a good brain". You mean that good brain and Spicer were unaware that Douglass has been dead for over a century? I'm going to wear my neck out by continuously SMH! They'd be much better off just dryly (and naturally) acknowledging that it's Black History month and moving along. It's obvious that both haven't the slightest idea who Douglass was and his accomplishments. I'm not expecting that they'd truly hold much admiration for any black leaders, both present and past. However, the pathetic feigning of admiration is just that.
No attitude. The bottom line is you are and were very quiet for some time about many/most things, yet when it comes to Trump you have been like a pit bull in defending him. I've just been really surprised that you seem to be so blindly loyal to him and it's not consistent (IMO) with how you usually are. I mean, you are one to say what you think about whatever and you will argue it out, but on this topic it just seems much more extreme. In regards to any of the others....I find them to be more consistent with how they have been on this....not really surprised in any way. I've questioned them at different times to try to understand where they are coming from. I have offered different POV and get where they are for the most part. I find no need to ask further, unless I do.
While I have been taking the wait and see on him and truly hoping/praying for the best, I'm really amazed by the whole "it doesn't matter what or how he says things, let's see what he does". I totally get actions speak louder than words and all the other cliches some of us old schoolers were raised with, but come on we also know better. Word and deed need to be consistent. It ALL matters. You can't be running around half cocked saying or doing crazy things. I may be in a form of denial in thinking/hoping/praying that there is much more than meets the eye and all this is by design.
I'm not sure how you can form a full opinion when you have not only fake news swirling in the MSM, but ommisions of facts. For example, a fake news item went viral that Trump called the President of Mexico and threatened to invade Mexico with the U.S Military. Total fake story..lapped up. Same with Trump removing MLK bust. It was a lie. Trump wasn't there at the time, he read the report from a respected journalist and had a go at his staff for removing it, until it was proved it was never removed. I'm 100% positive that no matter if the President does anything good, you will still find fault. It's going to be a long four years for you. Me, l will follow facts and give credit or not. Much healthier mentally for me adopting that attitude, That way l save my emotions and passion for my loved ones. Cheers.
I can't fault you on the wait and see approach. I do take issue with the whole... He's not that bad, you need to forget about the past/ignore his behavior, things he says, and so on. Their are cases where you can give people the benefit of the doubt. This is not one of them. We have no choice but to be deeply concerned and hope that miraculously we, our loved ones, country as a whole aren't adversely affected.
