Did they? By that time I'd stopped watching that show. I stand corrected. How was his character? Was he a man or just male?

Here is the trailer to judge for yourself:

I forgot that Andre Holland & Lily Rabe played Cuban Gooding Jr. & Sarah Paulson's characters in the present time in those documentary segments.

It's pandering and all rise sounds like one of those diverse shows that doesn't do that. But also money is involved in trying to get as many different viewers as possible that it then becomes more about that and less about true character development.

Quibi (short for “Quick Bites”) is a new streaming service that will offer short-form original series, with episodes that run 10 minutes or less.

    Hahaha, love it.
Aaahh, young love, lust, whatever. :D Fantastic trend.

*That second to last one is hilarious. They took that bitch employee's threat and turned it into a clever rap. Brilliant.

Yeah I think I mentioned this in the "random media commentary" thread recently to @darkcurry. TikTok seems to be the social media platform of choice where young snowbunny chicks (& other non-black females) are vocal for their preference of BM. Because god knows this is a NO-NO on Twitter (unless you're a pornchick/sexworker).

Didn't know that, CB. That's awesome! It's almost like they're in their own little secret meetup, that's pure and uninfected by trolls who want to politicize and destroy something that's so adorable.

Some of them needs a bit more original style and song, lol. Still cute.

Man, we had nothing like this in my teen years. We had to be about it, not rap about it. These clips lm sure bring all the boys to their yards, lol.

*Where are the young males clips, or is the trend just females doing it?

    Is this really that different?
When I was in high school rap just started becoming big and crossover appeal so a lot of white girls were into black guys. I was a nerdy black kid who was into comics and ran on the cross country team and I had a lot of girlfriends.
My only critique was feeling the need to disqualify other dudes to say they were into to black guys but then again they were young. Honestly it's most likely a phase anyway.
It was a phase for all girls I grew up with who were into Mase and Puff or LL or Method Man. They were a little dangerous which was exciting but after graduate school everyone ended up with a safe stable white guy.

It was just announced within the last couple years that Hip-Hop is officially the most popular music genre in the America, so the percetage of young white (& non-black) females who listen to rap is probably ten-fold compared to when you were a teen in the 90's.

And yeah it's definitely cringeworty for these chicks that publicly got out of their mention that their not into white (& other non-black) dudes.

The interracial dating and marriage numbers would disprove your statement that this is just a phase.

Why is it when anyone shows their love or attraction for black men it's perpetuating a stereotype or fetishizing, but they can talk about how they love black women 24/7?

I didn't say for everyone it is but for most of these girls this is just something fun to do.
Honestly I also think the IR numbers are up because it's more social accepted for those couples to get married not increased interest.
Just seen it a lot and with exception of maybe two most of my exes ended up with white dudes

    Mase:

@diddy I heard your #Grammy speech about how u are now for the artist and about how the artist must take back control. So I will be the first to take that initiative. Also, before we ask of other ethnicities to do us right we should do us as black people better. Especially the creators.

Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Badboy label. For example, u still got my publishing from 24 years ago in which u gave me $20k. Which makes me never want to work w/ u as any artist wouldn’t after u know someone is robbing you & tarnishing your name when u don’t want to comply w/ his horrendous business model.

To add insult, u keep screaming black excellence and love but I know love isn’t free. So I offered u 2m in cash just a few days ago to sell me back my publishing(as his biggest artist alive) that always show u respect for u giving me an opportunity at 19 yrs old. Your response was if I can match what the EUROPEAN GUY OFFER him that would be the only way I can get it back. Or else I can wait until I’m 50 years old and it will revert back to me from when I was 19 years old.

You bought it for about 20K & I offered you 2m in cash. This is not black excellence at all. When our own race is enslaving us. If it's about us owning, it can't be about us owning each other. No More Hiding Behind "Love". U CHANGED? GIVE THE ARTIST BACK THEIR $$$. So they can take care of their families.

For many people its a way of shaming people/the media from talking about their love for black males. Its their method of putting conditions on being able to openly express such views. The only ones who they think has a free pass in expressing such viewpoints are black women themselves or those who agree with them.

Thanks for that link. Looks very interesting. I am going to have to read it soon.

Btw you know the #1 Rule of the African American Community is Black Mothers Are Never Wrong About Anything.

Seriously I give all due props to black women (especially my mom) but there is a mythologizing about black women that I find sickening.
