Lmaooo I cannot help if he likes me. I'm a pretty laid back, cool chick that is well rounded (sports, smarts, girlie) so guys talk to me.

No... Little Ones are impressionable and they are like little sponges. Have to always be mindful of what they see or hear and follow through with an explanation they will comprehend.

Kind of like the convo I had to have w my 7 yr old who found my lipstick vibrator under my pillow. Very inappropriate but she had no idea... Mommy had to think on her feet but thank God it looks like lipstick. She was clicking the little button but it didn't turn on. I told her my lipstick broke and quickly tucked it away somewhere safe. She asked if she could buy one that weekend because it looked cool.

I will still never, ever understand that. All the men walking around on the outside in society without criminal records and fall for the ones on lockdown? That's never going to make any sense to me. Ever.

Images of bodies, even body parts.....there are appropriate ways and inappropriate ways. Walking in and seeing a screen size close up dick pick, or on a phone....is not appropriate. Nor is it something any mom is wanting to have to explain.

 

I don't understand the obsession either.

There is no future, they have nothing to offer. Cannot do anything significant for you to better your life. The only thing I can think of is they are dangerous and the lady wants to live on the edge and gets her giggles from that. Maybe they have connects on the outside, but you still cannot live a normal happy life together.

Even if they got out eventually, realistically what kind of life would you have with With a man who cannot get a job because he's an ex con...

Yeah that's a good one! Mine literally looks like lipstick so it was fairly easy convincing her. It never dawned on her why it would be electric but she went with it so

 

A few months ago I read and article (can't remember the site) where a female prison guard met a man who was in prison serving a ten year sentence, I think it was for manslaughter. Anyway, she took one look at him and she somehow, some way realized that was the one. Last I heard they were living happily ever after once he got released. I'm not trying to hate on anybody in the system but damn, you can't tell me that there's not one person on the outside that she could be dating? Not even one?

Meanwhile my ass is sitting at home alone. Looks like I need to go pull off a robbery or something. *click clack*

 

I've read some stuff about this (in school, not cause I was interested LOL) There are all sorts of interesting theories, and some that are not. But typically the thought is that the women actually prefer the men NOT be getting out (thus all the huge demand for the death row inmates - go figure!) Some of the thoughts are - they know where they are at all times, there is an odd sense of control and stability. They feel the men are "devoted to them". Often they will write all sorts of long romantic letters and such. And there's also an element of being the prisoners "savior" of sorts. They also don't have to deal with a real day to day relationship with their partner, but they still feel they are in a relationship.
