We got the all clear at 4 this morning.
We had 4 foot waves at wailoa 6 mins a part for a long while. The thing that's really scary is this makes people become complacent. So when the big one hits..and it will hit eventually..everyone will be so Blaise about it. This is the 4 coastal evac in 3 years. Everyone here also believes that we can't get hit by hurricanes because we have a huge mountain on our island (um Kauai has huge mountains and they were hit hard by iniki and Oahu has a kazillion mountains and they were thrashed by Eva in 86.)

The only thing that keeps it undevasting is luck. And looking at the monster creeping toward the east coast, I would venture to say we as a people and as a planet are running out of that.

    Stay safe east side.

    You are in my prayers.

Had a weekend without news, so was completely shocked when I switched on the radio to hear what has been happening.

So thankful that my Hawaii peeps are safe and well and my thoughts are with my easy coast brood. Be safe xxx

Can we still say that there is no global warming? We need to change the way we live before its too late

Football is my dirty secret. I love football. Love to watch it. Love to talk about it and being from Denver I root for my broncos on the DL.

Only thing is I feel this is suppose to violate all my omg-a-baby-give-that-bitch-a-baby-holy shit-imma-scurred-of-spiders-what-do-I-do-with-a-crescent-wrench-feminine sensibilities and don't ever admit that I love football as much as I actually do.

I <3 the Broncos too  I spent the first 14 yrs of my life in Colorado. Can't tell you how many playoff games we went to...and of course, Denver lost. I was SOOO happy when Elway finally got his Superbowl win!

Man that's too bad. I have some sick time saved up but I wish I had a reason to use it, since I never really get sick.
