Random Conversation 2.0

After my daughter's family party Saturday night, my (other) brother was the last to leave, which is weird, because he's usually one of the first to leave.

He sits down on the couch and tells my parents, my nephew and I that he and his wife are separated and that it doesn't look good for them to be staying together.

Now I run hot and cold with my sister-in-law. She can be very nice and sweet and other times a complete nutjob. Anyway, Sunday, I was checking my Facebook really fast and happened to notice that I was one friend short. I didn't think too much about it, but yesterday, I did a bit more digging because I realized that I didn't see about 50 inspirational posts from said sis-in-law on my newsfeed.

Sure enough, she wasn't on my friends list anymore. I thought maybe she deactivated her account. I checked my brother's Facebook and it just said he was married and didn't have a link to her name. I dug a little deeper and discovered that she didn't deactivate her account, she unfriended me and she unfriended my brother.

As they say: relationship status on Facebook is the be all end all. LOL. I told a mutual friend about it and he made the cut and is still friends with her and he said she doesn't have any relationship status listed on her Facebook anymore.

Damn.

She's been seeing a life coach for a year now and my one sister and other brother are convinced this life coach has "brainwashed" (heavy term, I know, but you get the idea) my sis-in-law into thinking her husband is "holding her back".

That's all speculation, obviously, however, she did quit her FT job because she was unhappy and isn't working FT anywhere. Her life is in an upheaval right now and it appears my brother doesn't fit into it anymore.

It's so hard to discern how the ex's friends/family members feel about you after a break up. Sometimes we are so quick to assume they will automatically pick their side and blame us for what went wrong. I know I worried for so long about that when I made the decision to leave my marriage. As it turns out, most supported me and some even questioned how I dealt with the bs for so long.

Unfortunately, she opted to disconnect herself from your lives. I guess you just have to let them go. Relationships are so difficult!

 

I tell myself at times whether I should engage in the deep discussions of the forums and it turns out that the less I do that, the greater my insanity grows. When I don't, my insanity STILL evolves as the times continue to progress. How to alleviate oneself of such yearnings?

Nope...not masturbating (growing bored of it).
Nope...not flirting with random women (grown bored of it).
Nope...haven't touched a video game in weeks (Can't find excitement).

So, what is left? Crack open a book and nourish the mind with some deviant, kinky, educational theoretical applications pertaining to all things science and engineering. YUM! :smt106:smt106

And yet, methinks my mind needs to replenish its creative side and simply...go at it and create a filter.

One of my friends got a new job interview. She asked for some of my advice. I simply said this:

Dress professional, and yet still casual, since it's just an interview at a grocery store, do not use filler words such as "like, uh, uhm", keep eye contact to the interviewer (don't stare though...that's creepy!), and just be you!

What really gets me is when I got an IM from one of my dude's girls saying "YOU CAN HAVE HIM!Thanks for breaking us up you fucking bitch!AFter 1 year!" ...when I hadn't seen the guy in like 3 months... I was like

"huh, I mean I new **** was a lady's man but this is ridiculous"

Then he got mad at me the next day and text me freaking out about me calling him a lady's man and was like "that's not my GIRLFRIEND that's my babymomma since you asked and I don't care who's mad"....

I wasn't even mad. LOL. I just felt bad for her. Funny how he tried to blame it all on me for her finding his phone. I told him I kept my feelings in check because I knew how he was - just felt bad for her, again. Men are so goofy - like a babymomma is more special - it doesn't take that much more effort - just being more sloppy. Ooops - and you're a babymomma. Wish I were one sometimes - maybe I would get a little bit of longterm affection - that's pathetic to say but I'm always temporary. Because I have no children. Then again she has more invested - and he is very selfish.

Poor girl. It must suck to find out your man has been screwing a white girl this whole time. Growing up where she does I can imagine how that must feel. Thank God I was a grownup and kept my feelings in check and kept my distance.

They're still living together. It's just been quite the eye opening experience. LOL.

 

Giving the sister the title to my car soon... which means truck/SUV shopping time for me! Aiming to buy brand new in May (or sometime in the summer), so I have lots of time to figure it out.
I'm NOT interested in getting a car, the roads home are terrible for cars, so many pot holes, etc. Driving my car down a little 'country' road on a day schools were closed, etc definitely made me want a truck or a SUV. Would also be cool to have something with some pulling power, since I still have no idea what country I'd be living in, and might want to be able to hitch my things to the vehicle and go.

Trucks and SUV's suck with gas though , it's nearly $160 at home for my dad to fill up his truck and a little less for mom to fill up her SUV. Does anyone have any suggestions of a truck or SUV that's 25k or less and "good" on gas? Nothing too 'sporty', more interested in safety/family features since I picture having the vehicle for awhile

 

Watching foxnews(Shepard Smith), and they were showing a car chase. Well needless to say, fox fucked up. The chase came to an bloody end. The guy turned off road onto the grass and drove a little bit more. He then stopped and opened his door(helicopter filming the whole thing) starts to look around, then he gets out and starts running for a little bit. He then stops running and looks up at the chopper then pulls out a gun and shoots himself in the head:shock:. Shepard starts screaming turn off the camera, but obviously it was too late. smh:smt011 I never seen anything like that live on the news before. As soon as I saw him stop running, I knew he was gonna do something crazy. That was a real WOW! moment. I wonder if fox will be fined for this slip up.

 

Ugh this media crazy society will love it. His poor family.

 

That's gruesome, BD. He had to have been suicidal from the git-go. Tragic for all involved.

I have had the distinct pleasure of sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for the past 2 hrs. Ugh...hate No. VA traffic :/

 

Yup, truly unfortunate. I only hope there weren't any kids watching. Yes, No. Va and DC traffic is the worse.

 

Agreed.....one of the reasons that I hesistate to move back there(Although I may after I finish school). At least in Boston I know all the roads through town to avoid traffic.
