Rand Paul supporters accosted a woman representing MoveOn.org and another stepped/stomped on her head. After she offered Rand Paul a fake reward. If you listen to the crowd you will hear them say 'call the police' some people would assume they where saying call the police to protect the woman, but no they want the police to arrest her for challenging their hero, Rand Paul. Living in Kentucky where this attack occurred, I can say this behavior does not surprise me at all.

Rolling Stone magazine did a story this month on Rand Paul and the Tea Party and I think everyone should read it. It is not as bias as some would assume.

Rand Paul supporter booted from campaign after admitting to stomping on woman

A Rand Paul volunteer who allegedly stomped on a woman’s back and head during an altercation outside Kentucky Educational Television studios in Lexington before Monday night’s debate has been issued a criminal summons to appear before a Fayette district judge.

Tim Profitt, who was Paul’s Bourbon County coordinator, hasn’t been charged with a crime, said Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts. But, she said, he could be charged with 4th degree assault, a misdemeanor, if the case is sent to a grand jury.

Profitt was “disassociated” from the Paul campaign after it learned that he might have been involved in the incident.

The altercation occurred just before the debate in the Senate race between Paul, a Republican, and Democrat Jack Conway.

Lauren Valle, 23, an activist with the liberal group MoveOn.org, made her way toward Paul upon his arrival at KET to give him an “Employee of the Month,” award from RepubliCorp, a fake company created by the organization.

Its aim is to illustrate what it says is a merger of the Republican Party and corporate America after a U.S. Supreme Court decision allowed corporations, unions and other organizations to spend unlimited amounts of money on political advertising of their own.

Television video of the altercation shows several people forcing Valle to the ground. While one man held her down, the video appears to show Profitt stepping on her back and then forcing his foot down on her back, neck and head.

Valle told the New York Post that she suffered a concussion and sprained arm, and MoveOn was quick to criticize the attack.

“We’re appalled at the violent incident that occurred at the Kentucky Senate debate last night,” Justin Ruben, executive director of MoveOn, said in a statement. … “This kind of violence has no place in American society, much less at a peaceful political rally.”

Roberts said police called an ambulance but that Valle refused treatment and transportation to a Lexington hospital. Roberts said police are still looking for others involved.

Profitt, who records show has contributed $1,950 to the Paul campaign, apologized for his actions during an interview with The Associated Press but said the television pictures distorted the severity of the event.

He also criticized police for not stepping in and said other supporters warned authorities about Valle.

The Paul campaign, which was criticized earlier in the day for not speaking out forcefully enough about the confrontation, released a statement Tuesday afternoon, saying that such violence would not be tolerated.

“The Paul for Senate campaign is extremely disappointed in, and condemns the actions of, a supporter last night outside the KET debate. Whatever the perceived provocation, any level of aggression or violence is deplorable, and will not be tolerated by our campaign,” it said in a statement. “The Paul campaign has disassociated itself from the volunteer who took part in this incident.”

Lexington police were looking Tuesday for a second man in what they described as the assault.

Jesse Benton, Paul’s campaign manager, said the campaign has heard rumors of others involved but has not provided names to Lexington police.

“We would be happy to receive their phone call and would help in any way we could,” he said.

He said Paul learned of the event while he was inside KET studios just before the debate began.

The Conway campaign said later that Paul needs to apologize to Valle and help police in finding others who may have been involved.

“We are still waiting for Rand Paul to apologize to the victim of this attack,” said Conway spokesman John Collins. “A boot stomp to the head of a woman is never appropriate. Rand should apologize to her, stop blaming others, and identify the others involved in this thuggish behavior and disassociate his campaign from them immediately.”

Paul, speaking on Fox News earlier, said, “When we arrived there was enormous passion on both sides and it was something where you walked into a daze of lights flashing, people yelling and screaming, bumping up. There was a bit of a crowd-control problem. I don’t want anybody, though, to be involved in things that are not civil.”

I love how this jackass still refuses to accept responsibility for his actions against a lone defenseless person.

Btw, do you ever get the feeling you are just talking to yourself? LOL!

I don't know how women would actually get behind this person, especially since he's pretty much similar to his dad when it comes to abortion. They're not super nuts when it comes to this issue. However, they do favor laws limiting access to getting one.

Here's an interesting factoid: There are 817 Abortion Clinics in the U.S., and there are over 4,000 Pro-Life Centers in the U.S.. Now I'm wondering what's the issue here with Abortion Clinics?
