California people help me out here. Is it really that racially charged in Cali because I'm going in May to visit a friend and I need to know what to prepare myself for.

there is an update on the san diego noose incident...it was infact a female...here is the kicker, the news is reporting that she is a minority? what they won't say is what her ethnic background is at this time...

there is also a quite elaborate story about how the noose was an innocent mishap, meant no harm and was not motivated by black history month

While there is racism in Cali, like everywhere else, I wouldn't worry about it as much as if I was in some parts of the south.
