Hey KnCA, it's sucks to see you go, but the way the board has been lately, i don't blame you. Also, it's not that the men have left this site for good. I've been here long enough to know that the forum has it's ups and it's downs, and it's fair share of dry spells where no new, interesting topics are being discussed. This makes members (like myself) seem like they've disappeared, when we're actually just trolling in the background waiting for the forum to pick back up again. :wink:

I appreciate what you said Bryant. Actually several have left. I chat with them away from here. Maybe one may come in and chime in here or there...but definitely no interest in keeping things going as they once did.

Webbie made a request and I'm sitting with it right now. I guess the thing is that if no one is reporting things to him and/or stepping up and saying things then it's just going to continue. I realize some of us have from time to time and it gets tiring to be doing it all the time....especially when some are feeling like they are fighting against those that they have stood up for in the past.

Myself and most of the others have been involved in sites enough to realize that there are ups and downs (don't let my join date on this nickname fool you as far as how long I've been on here) I think it's more just a matter of where people want to place their energy and what they are wanting and needing. At one point this forum (I wont say site) was going in a pretty good direction and in the past months it's been spiraling. But maybe that's what people are really wanting.

If people are going to just sit back and lurk or troll then it's all just going to continue. If you want it to be different then you need to do something to make it be different. The webmaster doesn't watch everything...we are the ears and eyes....whether that's right or wrong, that's how it works on here.

Okay, i totally understand your point of view. I'm surprised that some of the members have actually left/removed their accounts, because often times, a lot of the posters will just go on hiatus and return when things pick back up again...so for them to actually remove their accounts says a lot about the direction the board has taken recently, which is disappointing. Webmaster asked us a while back if we thought the forum needed to be moderated, and at the time everybody agreed that it's better the way it is now. Maybe a mod wouldn't be so bad after all i guess.

 

It aint about censorship, it is about going in an unnecessary way of discussing it, there is no need to post racist site on here whatsoever.

 

I just want to be really clear here. I didn't say that anyone (other than myself) removed or requested to have their accounts removed.

And yes most of us have been back to take a look a time or two hoping that maybe the tides have changed. I'm not going to speak for all because I don't speak to all of them.

It's hard to say what's needed. I gave my input...but that's just my opinions. What I've noticed is that there are some who seem to like to continue to start the same types of threads and/or shift ongoing threads to the same feel. So maybe it's simply that more really want things to be that way.

Obviously, some haven't even noticed that there has been a shift, or that there are those missing around here.

 

I've noticed the people missing K. And i've definitely noticed the shift that you're referring to. I guess, in my mind i'm thinking along the lines of, there is no other place on the net that's going to discuss IR topics that we haven't already heard before. It's always going to be a re-hash of similar topics over and over and over again unfortunately. I think a lot of the problem stems from boredom, and people not really having anything new to add. As soon as new, and interesting threads pop up, i'm certain that the posters would return, but IMO, that's hard to do with a topic such as IR, and especially on this site, where pretty much all of the possible topics have already been discussed. I wish i knew what the solution could be.

8) You may not get many responses to the this query. Of those who went to her site, many (not all) went for good. Some of us stop by here from time to time. Her site does have an open, hospitable ambiance. Intelligent participation is encouraged, and the blatant, flaming and personal bashing is NOT tolerated. :wink:

 

Well,to each her own. I thought K was a guy until you mentioned her gender,even if she did except me I would still go to this site.
