Hurts me everytime when I see this documentary ( I think the link has been posted here in another thread already), also when racism is directed towards players I admire (Eto'o, Henry, Anelka etc.). As the title suggests, it turns the beautiful game into an ugly and shameful thing. :smt086

I've been going to soccer games since I was young and I've never actually seen anything like this. Maybe it's a lot worse in southern europe.

Watching this video makes me sad and ashamed I'm an European soccer fan.

Galant, it has been mentioned before. I hated the Spanish fans and the football clubs for their treatment of Black players. It boils me that they won the World Cup! Oh yes,the monkey chants,bananas thrown on the field etc. If I had a European girlfriend I would watch the game in a pub or at a flat. Going to a stadium is dangerous for a Black person.

 

I go to Old Trafford with a close black friend and there are fans of varying ethnic backgrounds there. The atmosphere is great and my friends have never ever experienced racism

No need to watch in a flat or a pub; why let the minority ruin your experience?

I am from Europe and I am completely shocked and ashamed!
Why don't they get kicked out? I would totally ban them!
Those tickets cost money and I am sure if security would kick them out, people would keep their opinion.
I would have never thought that people react like that NOWADAYS! And I am moreso really hurt that no security got rid of those uneducated people.
This is horrible!
I don't care if a black person says it would not hurt them, my boyfriend would say the same-- but it is still not right, it is not okay..seriously..I can't believe that there are still such small minded, uneducated haters in this world.
I am ashamed to be human.
