They push the products that make money, which is not necessarily what the majority wants. It never has been.

Do you guys seriously not know how long movie studios factored in the "southern response" into every film they made?

Nice try not walking into that one but in the defense of porn chicks they are required to get tested monthly that's way better than your average person. So based on that logic I would probably have sex with one of them unprotected sooner than a chick I've been dating for a year.

Smooth, trust me as well. I know the poltics and games of hollywood. I knew few folks back in cali who were pushing to break in.

Anyways, either you or chi make a good independent film and makes us proud.

By the way Chi- attend the black international film festival in Art institue or Columbia college and raise your voice and concern. You will meet an up and coming international blk directors, kool event.

Lmao I said based on my logic because your average person doesn't get tested as often as they should if at all. So the safe money would be on the person legally and financially obligated to get it done.

I'm not buying it. It's not just the STD's, there's pregnancy, too, and not one of you guys is trying to get a pornstar pregnant.

    I don't buy it.

    Fantasy is fantasy.

Most WW don't date BM, for a lot of reasons. Desirability isn't one of them. I think maybe that's what you're not seeing.

Well I don't want anyone having my baby.
I think I'm still at an age where I still believe eveything I fantasize about is still a possibility. In my warped nerdy mind I think going on the Enterprise is a possibility while hooking up with a pornstar lol

LOL, don't go gettin me in trouble GZ, I'm not telling Andrae what to do and he knows that. I merely know from previous discussions that pregnancy is something he's not in favor of, hence unprotected sex is mostly out.

I saw the movie 'The Losers' and I personally liked it. However, I hear it is mostly fans/critics of the comics that found it to be bad because of the portrayal of some of the characters. Far as Zoe's character was concerned, honestly, I thought it was good they showed her in on screen romance IR relationship, sure one could go into pointing out double standards, but for me I feel like in the bigger picture more ground is gained in becoming a more tolerant society with interracial relationships. One thing I saw in the movie was the casting choices that I felt were a big step for black actors. From what I know one of the characters in the comic was written as a black guy (the character Pooch), however in the movie adaptation Idris Alba plays a part that was originally a white guy in the comics, so in other words Idris was cast for his talent. He was NOT cast for some weird stereotypical/token part, but he was cast as the character Roque because of how good of an actor was. So you end up having two black male characters in the group that were a big part of the plot of makeup of the flow of the movie, I thought it was good. So with that and Zoe, I felt like overall a movie like 'The Losers' was not something to pass up and hash on because it showed a black woman with a white man, but a step in the right direction. Zoe Saldana was in Avatar, The Losers, Star Trek and other movies that have shown clear cut interracial romance, sure it is not between a black man and white woman, but I believe you must take what ground you can get and winning enough battles will win the war, eventually. There is that movie coming out with Samual L. Jackson and Naomi Watts I believe, I don't know much about it, but I think they may be an interracial couple that comes together in the movie. Either way, I think we should try to see the bigger picture and see where there is actual progress and not be so quick to pick apart things that might have a better effect on society views than what we give credit for. Though I guess I've always been more of the glass is half full rather than the glass is half empty type. Anyway, I say go see 'The Losers' and see a movie where black actors are cast for talent and not racial typecasting and thank you Zoe Saldana & Idris Alba and casting directors/directors in general for helping breaking down racial barriers in the film industry. Also we shall have Idris Alba in Kenneth Branaugh's 'Thor' movie coming out playing a NORSEMAN who are usually assumed to be white. So far as I'm concerned there is progress, maybe not in the way we want to see it, but we're getting there. You can find plenty of television shows with bm/ww interracial relationships as well. Far as the big screen is concerned I believe it will catch up to the small screen soon and very soon and I think for a way for that to happen is for directors to continue to cast black actors on the basis of their talent, as it helps people to better understand that it is about the characters being portrayed and the story being told not the actor behind the mask and that all you need is the talent.
