Racially Charged Tweets after High Scool Basketball Game

Westchester county NY ...Mahopac (nearly all white players) was narrowly defeated by Mt Vernon (a team comprised of mainly black players). Some of the students not happy about the result decided to take their frustration to twitter and here are some of the results.

As a result of the tweets the superintendent of the Mahopac School District has suspended three students over racist Twitter posts about the Mount Vernon basketball team. He also left the door open to more as the incident continues to be investigated.

Crazy how deep high school sports can get. These kids learned this behavior somewhere...either at home or at friends homes. Children don't grow up making racist remarks (or thinking they're ok), unless it's been solidified (even supported?) in the past by their mentors. Terribly sad and I hope each student involved ends up being punished.

 

Wow that's crazy. Mt.Vernon is a top notch basketball program but the kids there are super duper ghetto. The tweet is fucked up but it's not too off. In big groups they do act wild as fuck

It's quite obvious, they're mad their team lost. Just give props to the opposing team and move on with your life, no need to get racial. I'm not surprised by this though. I remember the Joel Ward incident.

I come from the area and I've been to a lot of the Mt.Vernon away games and even though the boys on the team are very nice upstanding young men a lot of their hometown supporters are fucking thugs. If and when they make the trip to away games these assholes are very disruptive and act the fool. I wasn't there and I don't know what happened but past experience paints a picture where I can understand that disgusting comment even though I don't agree with it

 

Textbook defense mechanism. White men have danced with the racial anxiety of black athletic superiority since Jack Jackson showed the world his black ass and told them to kiss it. White women sitting on the sidelines and licking their lips = more racial anxiety.

 

Can't tell you how many stories I've heard from white women of white men who will not date them because they've been with black guys. The white man will actually ask them 'have you ever been with a black guy'. It seems to be as common a question as 'Whats your name?'.

One of the most defeatist things I've ever seen in my life was when I was hanging out with interns from my old job and we were out for drinks. Very very pretty girls. One was a show stopper that dudes drooled over and I can never forget one guy actually went up to her and looked at me and some of the guys I was with and said "You only like black guys huh", nothing about her body language said she was with any of us but dude just came in like a chump just the saddest attempt I had ever seen

 

The fuck? Talk about low self-esteem

But regarding the story: They're just sore losers, people go on twitter to speak their mind, it's like a place where you go to post all the negativity you're too scared to say in person. Chances are if they lost to any group different than them thry'd have something offensive to say.

 

The obvious endgame is to control white female sexuality which is a fool's errand. White men would need racial and gender covenants as strong as what you might find in the 19th century to pull that off.

And, my bad, it's Jack Johnson not Jackson.

 

They do have a plan though. If you can't beat 'em...
