The United Kingdom has been keeping its land confiscations in Turks & Caicos very quiet. The world does not realize what is happening in these once quiet yet prosperous islands, once the UK took governance last August in a coup d'etat.

Since UK's take over, land has been confiscated and the UK is forcing a new constitution on the people without a vote. The new UK constitution would give ex-pats the same rights as local citizens (called Belongers).

A new controversy has emerged in a community called Chalk Sound in Turks & Caicos. The residents of Chalk Sound are losing their lands and homes worth approximately $1,000,000 each to the UK pursuant to the UK agenda.

These land confiscations by the British are said to be another tactic by the British to turn the local people against the former government of Michael Misick. The UK purportedly hoped that the people would blame Misick for the injustice. However, the people of Turks & Caicos call UK's move racist, with a capital R.

Not only is the UK writing-in rights for foreign expatriates in the new constitution, but now taking land from Belongers. This is showing racism of Belongers and favoritism of foreign whites.

The Governor in the islands says that the land in Chalk Sound is protected and therefore the people must leave. The residents say that the former government, attorney general and an UK governor, all approved the land holds and they further declare that their homes would not disturb the shark breeding ground. The UK made an environmental report stating that shark breeding occurs in Chalk Sound. The people say, "So let them breed. We won't disturb them. We are nowhere near the reefs." Many claim that the UK is using the shark breeding as an excuse to take back land. No eminent domain laws have been provided or acknowledged by the UK to provide these residents legal protection.

The UK has also taken prime land from several real estate developers, as well as residential communities, for one reason or another. The UK has stated that land reform laws should be expected. All land registered will be reviewed and decided upon separately by the UK. This has many calling this maneuver a police state tactic.

The Turks & Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory consisting of two groups of tropical islands in the West Indies, the larger Caicos Islands and the smaller Turks Islands, known for tourism and as an offshore financial centre.
