Papi isn't just said in the bedroom....it doesn't just mean(lil) dad or granddad either. It's commonly used towards boys/men of all ages including sons. Can be said to be "love" "sweetheart" "darling" etc. Mami is the same.
hardly on the same level See Petty's comment about that particular word when you were trying to compare that to calling women other words. AGain - whatever works for you. I just don't get how if you are soooo against anyone ever calling a black person that particular word then it suddenly becomes ok during sex. But that's YOUR thing.
So there is one and only one singular absolute way the word can be said or meant got it. You're right we're done
Because it's different and you guys are being completely intellectually dishonest in not recognizing a difference and not recognizing tone and intent. And I have never been an hard liner like a lot of the people on here when it comes to the word. I've always maintained and said till I'm blue in the face context matters. If it doesn't then all conversation is literal bullshit. When I call Petty and Orejon peanut butter I must actually mean they are made of the stuff.
It's technically a term of endearment for 'father', but in the sense everyone is describing it's like a woman saying in English "Big Daddy", where the word is the same, but it's describing a male-female relationship, not father-daughter. Like the different meanings the phrase "My Old Lady/Man" can have, depending on if you're referring to parents or your lover.
But she isn't. PAPI means more than one thing. "Papi from a girl: To her lover - sex talk To her son - term of endearment To her Dad - Daddy Papi from a straight guy: To his buddy - Dude, stud To his father - Dad To a total stranger - I'm being friendly, somewhat familiar, you're probably around my age, but not a sexual thing at all (neither something ever used towards a respected elder nor a term of endearment). Your car mechanic may call you papi when he's delivering bad news for instance (but "papa" is the more frequently used term of choice). Papi from a gay guy: The above for straight guys, plus: To an object of desire - a definite come on To a lover - sex talk To an object of derision - dripping with the bitchiest drag queeny sarcasm. Papito is most frequently a sexual term or a term of eandearment. And papi with any adjective after it (chulo, rico, chevere) covers the gamut between endearment, flirtation, and outright sexual." *** Now tell us, what does n___r means when you ask a WW to call you that in bed?
Papito? Or how about when black women say big daddy? Interesting how women with the biggest rate of absentee fathers love incorporating that into their sex lives.
But it's being restricted to one realm and isn't used in regular conversation so again the context of how its used matters. And again I'm not saying any of you should use it so why is this such a huge deal?
I think that was a really good question. Bliss showed you various ways that Papi is used. I would also like to know what the n word is meaning when you are wanting a woman to call you that in bed.
Nothing other than sound of it. But that's my point about Papi no one outside of that culture is hearing it that way its the sound of a Latina woman's voice with that accent that's what makes it hot at least for me. There's no thought of the meaning. There's no degradation going on.
There's also a thread about being dominate or submissive and that can take on different meanings but if someone likes that during sex does that translate into every other realm of their lives?
Exactly, TDK, you gonna need more than Orejon to get u out of this mess, lol. Even ya boy Petty is bailing on ya Here quick, try 1-800-Johnny Cochran Lol
hmm ok. I still see it very differently. Papi is always (in my experience) a positive term. Also it's something that would typically be used outside of sex play often too. I mean those who are saying it are typically saying it wherever (not ONLY in bed).
