http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/01/showbiz/celebrity-news-gossip/james-avery-obit/ This had my jaw dropped. Not once did I even expect this to happen. Of all people who actually went out his way to deliver a memorable performance, James Avery aka Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has died at the tender age of 65. Not only that, he also voiced Shredder in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series, which was actually an interesting tidbit. Regardless, he was a beloved man and really knew how to get his kicks. And on that note...here's a token of memory to this beloved man....
why why why????? a piece of everyone's childhood has died with him. and a great disturbance in the TMNT universe was felt
Died from complications following open heart surgery. That's a bitch. If any of you or your loved ones are about to undergo surgery, find out who your surgeon is. I refuse to let young doctors unless they're highly regarded operate on myself or immediate family members, if I have any input. There's a reason why a man like Dick Cheney has had more heart surgeries than he can count on one hand is still kicking around but Uncle Phil gave up the ghost after one operation. Get the best people to work on you when doctors start cutting open your chest.
not just heart surgery...there is a 13 year old oakland girl that is brain dead after tonsil surgery...i need to see what is happening with this story...the hospital wanted to take her off life support on Monday at 5pm...the family was fighting to keep her on support
Unfortunately I knew a 6 year old boy who died during tonsil surgery. It was because of the anesthesia.
One of his last roles was a judge on The Young and the Restless. I watched that show and I wonder why good people die and the evil go on living?
To clearify The Fresh Prince is a wonderful show and the actor who played Uncle Phil did a great job.
The world has lost many beloved and respected people. Last week, I found out that Mikhail Kalashnikov was 94 when he passed. I thought I'd toss that bit of news out. Back on topic.
