R.I.P Major Nelson..J.R Ewing: Larry Hagman dies.

    - Larry Hagman, who created one of American television's most supreme villains in the conniving, amoral oilman J.R. Ewing of "Dallas," died on Friday, the Dallas Morning News reported. He was 81.

....In his autobiography, "Hello Darlin': Tall (and Absolutely True) Tales About My Life," Hagman wrote that J.R. originally was not to be the focus of "Dallas" but that changed when he began ad-libbing on the set to make his character more outrageous and compelling.......

I was a huge fan of his two popular shows, IDO Jeannie (still love to watch it) and Dallas.

Was he set to have a role-revival in it?

He already appeared in a couple of episodes already, I think. As for the signature, it's the nickname of my favorite team. :)

Ah...well at least he went out playing the role that made him world famous.

*Cool name, I thought it was a Spanish soccer cheer or something :)

Yeah, can't replace the original. He was one of a kind.

It is. 'Depor' is short for 'Deportivo' or 'Sporting', the name of the club.

I loved that guy. I once wanted to be like him growing up. He showed the way to succeed in this world. His co-star who played Sue Ellen was there in the hospital with him until the very end. R.I.P. J.R.

I remember him on the movie Mother,Jugs, and Speed. Hagman played one of the amulance drivers. He also played Buck the translator for the Russians on the movie "Fail Safe." He would be sorely missed.

Larry Hangman played JR as the villian everybody hated but still loved to see destroy his enemies.
