There was a show that was discussed on this forum back some time about young guys going for ollllld women. They weren't even rich powerful women. I find the whole thing ewwww - but then I do about the much older men with young girls too.

 

True, I was referring to the opportunities that come from money and looks vs. just money, as well as how men and women aging differently affects that. But, overall I agree with you.

 

Interesting. I know it is a very small minority of young people who date much older people for live instead of money. Very rare.

I don;t even know if I would be able to get turned on by a woman in her 70s or 80s. I mean, viagra can only do so much. After that it takes at least a little bit of desire and a lot of willpower.

 

Maybe some people are better with fantasizing than others? I have no idea.

 

I don't think women get so turned on by elder men in their 70s and 80s either.

thus the use of alcohol, medications, drugs...or maybe just the amazing ability to compartmentalize or check out of the situation mentally emotionally, etc.

The mind often believes whatever is emotionally convenient. Can't undo that with logic, facts, or empirical data.
