no, but those so quick to defend his overuse of black stereotypes and demeaning images as a constant backdrop in his films so a lack of self-respect and pride. i doubt you would love films that show ww as melodramatic whores who starve themselves and botox their way to the standard of their idol sarah jessica parker.
But I thought you said Denzel "doesn't monkey-shine for racist wop mofos" so how come he then turned right around and monkey-shined for a racist mofo? That's like a Jew saying "Fuck you anti-semite Hitler!. Btw, I still think you are a fine speaker."
Terra, what was pointed out by Iggy was Samuel's character in the context OF THE FILM. The whole movie is about hitmen/gangsters, both B & W. In the context of all the gangsters, he was the baadest mofo of the lot - not bad, lol. ( though personally I thought Vincent Vega was) :smt060
I think both you and Trey are right. Tarantino likes to push the envelope for the sake of pushing the envelope, so expect a scene that is hyper-exploitation.
I just can't see how a self-respecting Black man could like pulp fiction. Were you raised with a Dad in the home???
lol and if it does the news will makes it way onto a few little known websites who dont like it, but true he does like to push things, from his films i seen
I think you're going to get much more than that. He said it's going to be a SPAGHETTI WESTERN set in Slavery times, a bombastic wild adventure taking place in the TEXAS South ...and that he is not doing a historical piece in any form. A lot of people are going to be wagging their tongues when it comes out, for sure. I see Bill O even covering this.
but still doesn't change the fact that hitman= not a positive image. like perish the thought of a black lawyer in one of his films. but back to tarantino, watch resevoir dogs, no black actors but still stuffed with plenty of racial slurs.
Yeah I saw it, and all I can remember is the extreme violence. I don't even recall the racial epitaphs. (were there even any lawyers in his films?) So what exactly is your concern?.Is it the impression he gives of Blacks may affect how WP see them, or how BP will see them, and by default see themselves?
my concern is i never support racists and can't see why he, with his history, he should be celebrated. and this new movie, a slavery western, which will manipulate further, an audience so ignorant about slavery already. i don't see why these white directors must take such literary license with black history. he would never caricature the holocaust....
lol uh Tarantino's last film dealed with Nazis vs Jews. I'd say thats close enough to the Holocaust. Christ people, they are just movies! Some of you are taking shit way too seriously.
He didn't insult Jews nor did any of them get fucked in the ass by Nazis in his last film..........White trash.
