My only frame of reference is my dad and mom and when my dad came here he wasn't a citizen and after he married my mom he was. The only proof necessary was their marriage license and this was in the 80s.

Everbody knows that there's no racism in America. Everything's fine and dandy, like cotton candy:smt009

  3. Unbelievable.

  4. How are you agreeing with this and you just said you don't believe any of the scrutiny he's under is racial in origin?

GTFO, I know America is racist and there are significant racial injustice and inequalities in America. But crying racism for every little thing on every turn undermines when racist shit happens to someone, period.

What Trump did is racist casting doubt of Obama's educational credentials. He is no better than queen nutjob Orly Taitz who did her best on the Laurence O'Donall show last night. Her antics made him cut her off. Where are those guys from NBC Entertainment from Burbank? They should make a statement if he is going to be on the Fall Season of 2011?

Who is this Ed Harris from CNN? Is he a birther or just a journalist who asked a real silly question.

I said his team should have handled his case better knowing that a BM has to work twice hard to earn respect in America. Is it fair that we have to go thru lots of scrutiny, nope but that is the nature of the beast and his team should have handled it much better. I also said Trump is arrogant crude but don't think he is racist.

Additionally, I never said I beleive Bama was not born here. I am criticizing his team for handling the matter the way they did.

The real focus should not be placed on the "birthers"...that only gives them power. The focus should be placed on our networks and journalists whom pander to the opinion or anyone in big enough numbers, regardless of how unfounded the opinion is. They really shouldnt be given a platform to spread misinformation and baseless propaganda.

    Heres an unrelated example...
Take the advertising industry. The reason youre much more likely to see an asian woman/white man couple in an advertisement than a bm/ww relationship is because there are enough prejudice white men watching television to justify being pandered toward in the eyes of the advertiser. Its no different with our "news"

  10. They shouldn't have had to. He already released his birth certificate just like every other president before him. To say that his team should have tried harder is just perpetuating that cycle of racism by giving it credibility.

But that's just it news isn't entertainment its an information source it shouldn't be pandering to anyone. We truly are getting the government and society we deserve.

    People need to GROW UP.

Who the fuck cares what Obama's name is, or what it 'sounds' like?? Can we be even more 3rd grade??

Only an idiot believes there was a question as to how he was chosen to be editor of the Harvard Law Review, and trust me, NONE of those wm/ww were in the mood to give the Black dude a break and award him the highest honor bestowed on a student at Harvard Law School.

Obama's 'problem' is that he's NOT WHITE. No more, no less.

Bill Ayers in the 1960s was a student member of the Weather Underground, in protest of the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. People are acting like they were an anti-American commie group, when in fact they reflected many of the views most young people had at the time.

All their protests/attacks were symbolic and they made a point never to target civilians. 'Terrorism' in the '60s and '70s had a totally different connotation that it does now, and it wasn't about killing civilians to make a point.

I'm glad Obama knew this cat, let him know what it means to be a radical and fight for causes you believe in. Ayers may not have gotten it perfectly right, but his social and political philosophy was correct IMO.

Trump may not be a cross-burning racist, but he is one of those benign bigots who don't realize how racist they are until they find out their daughter's BF in college has an excess melanin condition.

Trump is calling us 'the Blacks', not even realizing that term is offensive. Most rationale White people would never call Black folk 'the Blacks', but if you live in a bubble where no Negroes dare tread, some ignorant BS like that will come out your mouth once in a while.

Now these 'concerned Americans' want to see Obama's college transcripts, his Selective Service application, his adoption record by his mother's 2nd husband, etc.

This country is on the verge of economic collapse, and supposedly fiscally responsible Republicans are pushing this nonsense crapola.

Know why GOPers don't wanna talk about creating jobs are reducing the debt??
Because they DON'T CARE. They want power. When the country goes into the toilet, these 2 percenters are moving to Europe and signing up for socialized medicine/education!!:smt036

This country has been taken over by corporate entities, and when the interests of corporations and the government merge, that my friends is called FASCISM.

If a Teabagger says I think Obama has a tail, is he supposed to go on national TV tomorrow and pull his pants down?? SMH.

These far rightwing conspiracy theories aren't worth the President's time, his only mistake was assuming the average American wasn't this stupid.

If these Birther's(including the politicians) arent laughed off of every opinion show set theyre interviewed on, theyre being pandered to. Even the mere act of putting senselessness like that on a non opinion show is troubling.

That said, cant disagree with the part in bold.

what amazes me tho, Orly came to America in her 20's? She was not born here, did not go to top tier law school & does not have a great command of the english language. A jeiwsh person born in former USSR, grew up in Israel becomes a dentist in America then gets a JD degree from online school and challenges the citizenship and academic merits of the sitting US prez, lol, the audacity. Only in America! With all her faults, America still a great country. If Orly pulled this shit some other country she would have been shot or her naturalized citizenship would have been revoked long ago, gotta love America, crazy place but hella interesting, lol.

Oh, America. We have a strange history filled with plot twists and stupidity galore! Orly's definitely a weird person. During the primaries for Secretary of State, she lost to Damon Dunn (black Republican) and she accused him of switching parties so he could run on the ticket. She's known for a lot of wasteful lawsuits and none of them were successful.

She's basically the female equivalent of Jack Thompson.

Sometimes I wonder if this crazy obsession with Obama is because she had this secret thing for Black men or a hatred of them?

The Harvard Law Review is a legal journal. Obama was elected Editor of the Harvard Law Review.
