Because nothing says "THIS FLAG ISN'T RACIST" like a bunch of angry white people waving it while yelling at a black guy.
That's really what kills me about the whole thing. They might as well do a scene-by-scene re-enactment of Birth of a Nation while they're at it. I'm almost wondering if that whole thing is some kind of performance art that we won't fully understand until about 20 years from now. It's insane!
I hate to say this but i get tired of talking race this and that. It gets crazy. I come here to escape from serious stuff.
Don't you guys know that anti-white male racism is the most pernicious and pervasive form of racism today?
Its serious????? I had no clue. Thanks for telling me. What im inferring to is that at times i just want to fet away from it. Race is a burdensome topic at times. It can dominate every thing....like the cosby story (no need). This story...not shocking. It gets to a pt where its a joke or its sad I told a long time friend that i really dont listen to conservative radio cause they get into hate discussion every day. Birds of feather flock together. Im too much of a man to get in the mud like that.
Did I miss Congress passing a law and the President signing a bill that says that the flag is illegal for people to have. If your dumb and deluded enough to believe that the flag is not about hate that's fine. Without all that it still represent HIGH TREASON and where is the pride in being traitors.
THis guy has to be a front. Come on, why are a bunch of hateful rednecks gonna find a Black guy to lead them?? Modern day racists love to do this shit; find a compliant Negro, pay him a few coins and let his fool face be the one the media focuses on. I simply cannot believe any Black man no matter how conservative leaning would have the motivation or desire to wrap himself in the confederate flag. If you read the cornerstone speech by Alexander Stephens and don't understand the confederacy, the secession of Southern states and the Civil War were all about slavery, you're being willfully stupid. http://www.reddit.com/r/history/comments/3d75h4/cornerstone_address_an_oration_delivered_by/
The conservative strategy of minority engagement is precisely this. Find a member of each ethnic group to make prominent and then have them set about the business of denying the existence of racial bias in the country, continually state that race is in the minds of "victims" and not in the "American" individual responsibility culture. The existence of such a minority is then used as the predicate for dismantling any governmental measure to address ongoing discrimination under a "he made it so there's no problem" justification.
