'taint over til it's over... mistrial on murder, close - but not close enough... Let's wait for the sentence.
And don't forget my caveat: "So (provided a media spotlight is turned on the dunn verdict) he's going to walk, in order to underscore the message and ratchet up the racial tension. The media spotlight part is key. It's a clue to the intent.." Not sure if this dunn case got the attention that the zimmerman case got - (I don't watch much tv) - but I'm sensing that it didn't. ... Still, let's wait for the sentencing. I'm not always right. Usually, but not always. In fact, I hope you're right. I hope they put this motherfucker under the prison, and only take him out of his lonesome cell for someone to rape him daily
Prediction... In the next 10-15 years second and third tier cities will rise as cities like NYC, Chicago, LA and SF become too expensive, and the Internet allows you to work from anywhere. Austin TX and Detroit will lead the charge
yep. Some places will experience a renaissance thanks to the web. Hubs like nyc will persist, but the populace around them will be more diffuse. Locations within 2 hours of the major metropolises will do just fine for the next generation of workers, thanks to the web. Upstate ny, catskills, places like that will attract people who can work over the wires and commute for face-time only when it's really necessary.
Just wanted to bump this old thread (posted back in 2013). I was way off about Dunn getting off. I was right about assad keeping power, wrong about him being killed. I was right about hillary running again, & losing again. I was right about "cold war" & proxy between russia and U.S. whether I was right or not about society's pivot back to the "old order" remains to be seen. Read this thread through & see what's on point or not. And please, make your own predictions, which we'll examine in a year or two.
