hell yeah. I love that song. Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana were awesome back in the 90s lol

HIM's really good. They're a different kind of group, very melodic

That there's something wrong with the girl if she picked a black man... is she in her right mind?:smt076She must be either ugly, stupid, or disturbed.

Do you know what is amusing? That by talking about these stereotypes we are, in fact, allowing them to live on. Kind of like "any press is good press".

Sure - I know that they'll most probably remain...but it is still ironic and kind of funny.

I have learnt some "stereotypes" since I came here. Having not grown up in a black/white environment, nor having massive exposure to US culture means that I didn't subconciously absorb all those cultural learnings as I would have done growing up in the country. :)

So you accuse me of this, as well as out and out racism, then you leave the thread and stop responding, and now you make little passive aggressive references to it? Oh wait, no, this little post has nothing to do with the other thread, despite nearly exactly the same wording, right?

You're not much of a worthy opponent in debate. That's a shame.

I dislike all the stupid stereotypes.

The one that bothers me the most is that by choosing to date outside of your race, more specifically if the parties are black and white, there is something inherently wrong with -both people-. That it is wrong and unnatural to date someone who is black if you're white, and vice versa, and because of your choice you must somehow be flawed as a person. It can be attributed to sex (You're only with him because black guys have huge dicks!!!), it can be for status (Oh, you're only dating a white girl because you want to look good), etc. As if one cannot simply choose to be with someone, that there has to be an ulterior motive or a flaw in their character that would lead to it.

    People are stupid.
