I found this article interesting. I also think it is significant that we see news stories that highlight as positive the fruits of IR relationships. Of course like most studies, I'm sure the researchers had an agenda of their own (maybe Dr Lewis is of mixed race?):

"Dr Lewis said 'Previous, small scale, studies have suggested that people of mixed race are perceived as being more attractive than non-mixed-race people. This study was an attempt to put this to the wider test. "

To be fair, I think this is true. I have seen so many beautiful mixed race people, of both genders. And mixed race children are almost always adorable. My mum and I saw this awful, awful couple once, both looks and behaviour wise, but they had the most beautiful baby girl. I can't even describe how precious this little girl was, and babies normally don't have any 'aww' effect on me.
I didn't realise that Alexandra Burke was mixed though. Find out something new every day!

Hopefully the little girl doesn't inherit the behavioral traits

The more diverse the gene pool, the greater the chance for superior offspring in every single aspect. We've known this since Darwin. Nature is geared to select what's useful, and that includes what's attractive.
