damn..that was a nice piece of aikido that's a shitty situation tho.. on one hand, the cop is dealing with an armed subject (the old lady had a knife, after all) on the other hand, the subject is an OLD lady...how much force do you really need to use on her, to pacify the situation? To be honest, if someone came up to me with a knife, they'd be catching a size 14 in the head... i'm not taking a stab wound for decency.
Glad you're impressed by akido on a 80 y/o. The old lady r wasn't coming at her with a knife..she could barely move. The bitch could have taken that knife with 2 fingers..she didn't have to slam her on the pavement.
I'm surprised they didn't shoot her. The NYPD over here will shoot you even if you don't have a weapon.
She didn't. The officer approached her, not the other way around. She has alzheimers, and found the kitchen knife a family member left in the car and used it to cut her way out of her own seatbelt. She was shuffling through the parking lot at about -300 miles per hour when the cops approached. The police action resulted in her laying on her back in the parking lot, bleeding from the back of her head.
Follow up news video. I don't know. I wouldn't want to see my grandmother or anyone else's put on the ground so hard they were bleeding from the head.
Quit picking on me. My granny has a knife and she's not afraid to use it on you. Anyhow in this case if your granny has Alzheimers it's a good idea to put away the knives instead of leave her in the car with them. Avoid the whole situation.
You make the cops sound like bears -- like they're some kind of dangerous animal that you have to be careful not to startle when in their presence. Not that I disagree with that perspective, really, just pointing it out.
