Sooooo.... my (recent) ex and I were on the phone earlier and he told me he once got sunburnt in Tenerife. He is Nigerian - sort of medium skin tone -not the darkest skinned Nigerian I know but, you know, black.

Is he just pulling my leg? Do black people get sunburnt?

Some British chicks don't tan, I do. I'm not that pale naturally and I have dark hair and dark eyes.

Hah, yeah, my tan lines are on my ass... they're weird, kinda uneven. I'd post pics but yeahhh. LOL.

I have NEVER seen or heard of any Average Dark skinned "Black" to have sunburned no matter how much exposure. I guess I cannot state that it cannot happen but I am positive that it is EXTREMELY rare if and when it does occur.

There's a reason why they're called white people.

No, he is not. I have been sunburnt as well as my mom. What you have to remember is that the sun is giving out radiation aka light. No one is immune to radiation. It destroys the cell. Black people are lesss likey to get skin burnt but if it is hot enough any one can.

Ok ok I'll be nice. I quit tanning in the sun in my early 20's. Never did tanning bed thing. I'm perfectly fine with being pale.
