Obama supporters know that the moron called Dubya who occupied the white house fucked up the economy so bad it might take even more than a 2 term Obama Presidency to bring it up to par. The republicans conveniently leave the 8 years before Obama out when they are ranting forgettimg that Dubya was so unpopular that he couldnt even campaign for Mcain unlike Clinton who was a rock star and was courted by Gore in 2000. If these numbers are even true, the overall statistics of people on welfare is not indicative of some sort of mass sloth on the part of the working class. It is more an indicator of the disproportionate skewing of economic policy towards the interests of capital as opposed to workers. A more accurate depiction of people's willingness to work is the near-statistical full employment levels of 3.5% reached during the Clinton years.
