Being the movie buff that I am, I'm always excited for the Oscars.

Anyone want to make any predictions this year?

I'm a little weirded out by the 10 pictures up for Best Picture this year, and a little peeved that "Up" (while that movie is fantastic) was nominated in the Best Picture category as well as the Best Animated Feature category. They couldn't have picked another worthy movie to put in there that hasn't already been nominated? Oh well. It's a small thing for me.

And the hosts? I loved loved loved Steve Martin as host and was upset when they didn't ask him back. And now he's back WITH Alec Baldwin. I'm psyched!

My butt will be parked in front of the TV all night on Sunday (from the red carpet to the end credits). I'm not big into girly things, but I do love looking at the dresses and things that the stars wear to awards shows.

Btw, while I would love to see Up in the Air win for Best Picture, though I'm fairly certain The Hurt Locker will win.

Am I the only one who is a freak for the Oscars? LOL. :smt023

i'm not really fussed by the oscars joanie. think alec baldwin will be an interesting host, but besides that its another way too long hollywood thing to try and stop my bum from getting numb whilst watching.

I usually don't care about the Award shows, but I can't wait to see this one.

i think steve martin is overrated. the only movie i've ever enjoyed him in is dirty rotten scoundrels, and i'm sure he was brilliant in that because of michael caine.

Really? Have you seen Shopgirl (that's really not a comedy though)? L.A. Story? It's Complicated? The Jerk??? I think he's very funny. :smt050 But I know everyone has different tastes.

I love his kind of comedy and thought he did a great job with the Oscars when he hosted them a few years ago.

haven't seen it's complicated yet, i'll wait until its realised on dvd. i think it was the jerk that turned me and the man with two brains....uggghhh. roxanne was okay though.

I think him having someone to bounce off will make the oscars a little easier to stomach...i do hope you have a great night in though lovely

Sandra Bullock looked beautiful....except the shade of lipstick she was wearing. She would have been head to toe perfect, if it wasn't for that lipstick shade.
