It is too prevalent in the USA. I think a study showed that there are more gun shops than McDonalds in the USA besides Australia did it... The bad guys just went to knives from what I heard. You did get the knives down though. Guns are too embedded in the core of the USA to get out..... despite the fact that most Americans do not carry guns

Yeah, that's a HUGE divide. I don't see it going away in my lifetime. Just so sad that some people can have so much hatred in them.

Yes that's true. They got rid of our guns over here but regardless of the amount of shootings yours are there to stay. It's mind blowing to me considering just how many massacres etc there have been. Over here we don't have guns but they'll kill in the worst way with machettes etc. I watched a documentary once in the ratio of murders over there etc they tried blaming the violent movies produced and video games. The real issue is mental health thats where it's failing over here and over there.

    It's a money making issue

Since they think that making money is such a big deal they need to create new legislature for it. I think they should require a yearly license for all guns, biannual mental testing and a biannual background check. If you don't pass or fail to do it you get your license to carry revoked and you are slapped with a steep fine, probation and or jail time. I think they should go ahead and make the license and testing mandatory. If you are caught with a weapon of any caliber and it is unregistered and you don't have the proper license/test or the numbers are marked off, you serve a mandatory 3 year sentence plus 5k in fines. That will help deter all of the bullshit right there and then.

Yeah, you have the right to bare arms...but now you have to follow this process or pay the price.

Video games being blamed for violent acts has been happening in America since the early 90s.

It would be a lot fucking harder for the bad guys to get guns. This guy went to a store and bought everything that he needed to perpetrate mass murder without scrutiny.

Additionally, who's to say that law enforcement couldn't focus reducing the number of illegal guns in the hands of criminals after doing away with legal gun sales? Isn't that the rationale behind the war on drugs? Why does logic applied to pretty much every other criminalized social ill no translate to the issue of guns in the US?

The notion that you can't do anything about the fact that there are more guns than people in the US and that it's easier to buy a gun than vote in most states is laughable. This isn't a natural state of affairs. This situation is the direct result of policies enacted by corrupt members of Congress who were bought off by the gun lobby decades ago.

Along with the guns,,, let's take knives, cigarettes, and alcohol from law abiding citizens. Fuck it, let's take cars too. They all kill people, right?

A Muslim walked into a gun store in Florida and legally purchased firearms.

Take a minute and let that sink in.......

    Motherfucker, don't be simple.

If this clown had walked into that club armed with knifes, he would have been able kill far fewer (if any) people and he would have been subdued.

All of things that you mentioned can be dangerous if used improperly, but they all have legitimate uses outside of killing things. That's the only purpose that an assault rifle has. To kill. If you're going to make guns readily available with no control whatsoever on who purchases them, even for terrorists and the mentally ill, then people are going to die. End of story.

The US is the only developed country that doesn't have stringent gun control laws and is the only country that averages a mass shooting every fucking day, but you got ignorant motherfuckers trying to argue that steak knifes, toasters and cars are just as dangerous as guns.

You can chill with the disrespectful language. Not once did I disrespect you. I voiced my opinion as you voiced yours.

Guns aren't the problem, people are. I have several guns,, are they killing people?? No, because "I'm" the owner. Yes, he killed 50 people. He could've killed 300 had he been strapped with C4.
But you got ignorant motherfuckers trying to put the problem on guns when they should be trying to figure out how the fuck ISIS set up camp in there own back yard.

As my friend has said... the only defense against evil violent people, is good people who are more skilled at violence.
