What society isn't?

 

In my experience in Europe, I have found that US society is nowhere near as social class, tradition and rule-bound as European society. US society worships money, not necessarily social class. Here nouveau riche can buy respectability, not so much in Europe. US society is gradually moving toward a more rigid structure, but 200+ years of tradition are nothing compared to 1000+.

 

Not just angling but creative cropping as well. Me personally I love mom stretch marks. Insecurities all people have yes but I'd rather not deal with it. I was with a woman who didn't like her pale skin and would only get naked with the lights off, while here I am loving pale skin when it glows in the moonlight.

It never made sense to me to deceive with my pictures. I want the guy who likes me just as I am. I don't want to meet him and see a look of dismay on his face when I don't look like what he was expecting. I think I look a bit thinner in photos than I really am, and I make that known. I don't want anyone else to experience what I did with my first online date.

I've dated women from many of the countries in Europe, but have only lived or spent substantial time in the Iberian peninsula, so I have a bias toward that region. There are anti-black racists in nearly every country in the world, including Europe, that's just a function of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, but I didn't experience any hostility there. In all fairness though, I have to note that the experience of Roma, Arabs, Berbers and African immigrants in the suburban projects is very different. My 'American' status shielded me from any of that.

I loved Portugal and Spain. The weather, the music and the culture (I'm a wine nut) were mesmerizing. German society (judging from the German women I've been involved with) in my experience has the most relaxed, casual culture (less hierarchical), Mediterranean and French cultures seem to be more so. Other cultures seem to be somewhere along the continuum between these two extremes. I noticed it even down to the way in which the various cultures eat meals, dress, socialize, etc. But in all instances I have found European culture to be more ritualized and formalized than the "let it all hang out" of the US. By contrast, in the US it seems like you can "let it all hang out" IF you can afford it. If you can't afford it, you should go home, lol.

I'm feeling buffet-ish today. One date (tonight), two other possibilities and *clutches chest* an encounter at the convenience store across the street!! I have a real-life cougar cub interested in me!! And yesterday morning, I only had a date from Saturday that went south....

I'm skerred! And I think the date (I dated him before) and the cub would want to be exclusive. But I want a chance to meet them all! Never been in this position before....

 

Take.your.time and enjoy this! Personally, I don't rush into being exclusive. There's too much I want to know about someone before I'm willing to commit and cut out any others. I think there's nothing wrong with casually dating until you're confident that you've found someone you actually want to commit to. Regardless of how you decide to move forward with these men, it's always nice to have a few suitors at your door! Have fun!
