So despite the bad stories here and my one experience with a 70s sitcom icon online. I have decided to venture out today one another online date. I took a chance and messaged this guy. Seems almost too good to be for real. Grown kids, a year younger, from the neighborhood, but doesn't know the ex, 6'5 owns his own business....we are going to the batting cages so we will see.

Important thing is don't be browsing profiles of people and be already imagining marriage and how good your kids would look like and that goes to females cus most men do this online thing just for the heck of it.

 

This!! Many women are quick to rush a relationship along instead of remaining casual and letting things be as they're meant to be.

I'm so tempted to create a profile on one of these sites just to see what all the hoopla is about! It'd be all in fun though...not looking for an e-connection

 

Ha, with that attitude I wouldn't be surprised if you are the one who would find the most amazing men.

 

I promise to share if I find more than one good one (you'd just need to come to Cali!). I honestly believe we find love when we're least expecting it. I've never even visited an online dating website, so I think I'm more curious than anything else. It truly would be all in fun...plus when you go in with that kind of attitude, its hard to be disappointed with whatever the outcome is

 

I created a profile on a site that I'm on currently, initially to look at a profile that one of my friends asked me to check out for her. I had to join and create it just to even view his profile. So I did only what I had to do to get in the door. No photo, didn't fill out the essay portions (except to say "to be completed later" - just filled in the basics. Within an hour, I had messages and one was hilarious. This guy was positively gushing - said he loved my profile and that he thought he'd finally found his match. I wrote to him and said "No ya didn't" and blocked him. Talk about casting your bread upon the water and hoping it will come back buttered.

 

LOL I remember when I created a profile and my pic wasn't approved yet.
I had an email from a guy who called me a beautiful lady.
I was like WTF???

 

My friend recently contacted a guy from Baltimore, which is about an hour and half from us. A drive that could easily be made by both. He wrote back "I hope you like to drive!!" Really??? He can't drive an hour and a half?

I told her if it were me I would've written back to him and said "I love to suck d*ck and f*ck a lot, but no....no, I don't like to drive."

 

His reply... "then take the Greyhound".
