Can you imagine??? I think I may have stolen that from MPFC. I think they had some other interesting oly sports. Some oly sports are just so mindnumbingly boring I think I will call in sick for the tracknfiled tho.
I'm curious what's your focus of study. I'm having a debate right now and thinking you might be able to help
For your Phd. Was having a debate on the correlation between food additives and narcotics as they relate to addiction.
Wait what?? Funny. I did CNS and apoptosis (biochem and biophys). Someone in my lab was actually working on serotonin receptors and addiction. Some people have longer receptors and apparently have higher risk of abuse. If I recall that correctly. I was more concentrated of heavy metals in 3rd world countries (as they are used way more there) and issues with that, correlating to CNS issues other than abuse.
What's up with all these teenagers winning gold medals over adults though? Natural talent plays a part, surely, but how can a 17 y/o outswim fully developed adults? Props to them, though, for sure...I can barely even tread water! Also, women's beach volleyball:smt004
Carl Lewis was interviewed on BBC and said Americans were going to dominate the sprints. I respect him as a legend but that is bordering on delusion. He also was not prepared to talk about Justin Gatlin's inclusion in the US team even though he was a 2 time drug cheat yet he made so much noise after Ben Johnson cheated in Seoul '88 and still rankles him to this day. It is what it is.
Yep female beach volley is pleasing to the eye. Nothing beats tall white, women in bikini jumping high and smashing a ball over the net.
Beach Volleyball... Over the short history of the Olympic sport, Team USA has outshined everyone. Way to go Misty and Kerri...keep it up...
Badminton Players Kicked Out Of London Olympics For Trying To Lose http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...disqualified_n_1730941.html?utm_hp_ref=sports Badminton, huh. I guess those badasses showed us who's Bad. Someone cue Michael to footage. China's Yu Yang, left, and Wang Xiaoli talk while playing against Jung Kyun-eun and Kim Ha-na, of South Korea, in a women's doubles badminton match at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in London. World doubles champions Wang and Yu, and their South Korean opponents were booed loudly at the Olympics on Tuesday for appearing to try and lose their group match to earn an easier draw
Sad but they need to reevaluate the system of the way teams move on. If losing in earlier rounds ensures you play easier opponents the next round it encourages not trying. They were so obvious though...glad they were dealt with.
Agree with you 100% ^ ^ ^ LOL, why did this spur a firestorm of responses??...it's insane..it's literally 2 seconds of boobage "Shocked NBC viewers watch as Olympic water polo player's breast is exposed underwater after fight with U.S. opponent" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-breast-underwater.html?ICO=most_read_module . The suit grabber...USA!
