Books, it's a cock thing! Think about what I am about to state next. Hetro men do not know what a good looking guy looks like! Straight men know the Boris Kodjoe's of the world look good because A LOT of women of all ethnicities feel that way. How would we know, we are too busy looking at the chick he's either talking to or the lovely thing that just walked by?

Hetro men think about sex a lot, looking at nearly every woman that passes, nearly every s-i-n-g-l-e woman. If chicks thought the Flavor Flav was the standard, straight men wouldn't care and assume the same thing,
    as if he was Boris.

Furthermore what's there to entertain? We are either working, watching sports, playing video games, watching porn or chasing ass. Why would a hetro man stop and say "Hmmm I wonder if............."

Malik, you seriously cannot look at another man and determine if you think he would be attractive? I'm a straight woman, but I can look at other women and determine whether I consider them to be attractive or not. It's not a gay thing, it's just being observant. Everyone has their own definition of beauty, and mine applies to women and men, and that's not affected in any way by the fact that I'm a straight woman. I find it hard to believe that a straight man cannot look at another man and think something like 'he's a good looking guy'. Granted I don't imagine you'd say that out loud in a group of men, as women often do, but I think you'd still be able to think it to yourself?

Hetero men are so petrified of anyone thinking that they have gay tendencies that they go out of their way to yell from the rooftops that they love women. So, therefore, they can never ever say another man is good-looking. Look what happened to Goodlove....he was immediately labeled gay because of this thread.

Lesbians are way more accepted than gay men. Which is why when a homosexual is beaten and/or killed it's a gay man and it was done by hetero men.

It's sad that men can't be more secure with themselves and their heterosexuality. They'd rather pound their chests and declare they are full of testosterone than ever admit that they find the likes of Brad Pitt or whoever even remotely attractive.

No, it wasn't because of this thread.

On the flip side, most women don't wanna hear a man talk about who he thinks is hot.

    Or do they.....

Okay, I stand corrected. But this thread didn't help. :smt081

Thanks for the explanation Bookie. I think that's ridiculous though. If I can say Kim K is gorgeous without everyone assuming I'm gay, then any man ought to be able to say George Clooney is a good looking guy without people assuming he's gay. You are correct, people need to be more secure in themselves and stop worrying what other people think.

If you say 'he's a good looking dude', I don't see why any woman would object to that. Now maybe if you go into graphic detail...'wow he's hot, look at that tight ass, ooh I bet he works out, I wish he'd show me his 6 pack'... that might raise some eyebrows. Though I confess if you were being honest I wouldn't care and still wouldn't consider that gay, you might just be really observant and admire good muscular definition. I'm that way with men and women because I know how much work it takes to achieve that kind of body, and I find that admirable.

    That is a theory.

It sounds good but no one is buying it.

Men admiring the looks of other men.

Its cool and all but there's a fine line.

I'm not saying you have to admire another man's looks, but Malik implied that you don't even know how to determine if a man is attractive. I just can't buy that, you have eyes, you look at yourself in the mirror and I would think you would at least be able to measure another man's attraction using yourself as a baseline? Now I get that you might not want to broadcast your opinions to the world at large, but he's implying you don't even have the ability to make a determination in the first place.

I think the average person would consider that an unreasonable remark.
