There is more in Holand than just tulips and weed.

Holland gets a Good Reputation in regards to being a Diverse Country but Blackface is Really Offensive. The Government should Abolish this Custom.

Wow, I'm really surprised to see this thread topic and I'm glad someone brought this up.

I've spent some time in Holland and the first time I saw this I was like, wtf? I was in Den Haag in the winter and saw a statue of this dude in the window. I thought I was watching the end credits to Bamboozled.

But man, does Holland have some of the most gorgeous women on the planet. My ex was dutch; Tall, like 5'11. Me being 6'4 I love taller women. I could actually grab her ass without bending over when we hugged. Amazing long brunette hair, petite frame...She looked just like Emmy Rossum. And she had the sexiest ass dimples I've ever seen (man, did she used to get it from the back...)

Anyway, she actually showed me pictures of her as a kid in this "outfit". We talked about it, and she actually was the first to tell me that she thought the custom is ridiculous and hated it. She was quite embarrassed about it.

I don't think its going away anytime soon. As far as I've heard from friends over there, the past few years have seen the political power shift to super conservative. They've changed some smoking and drug laws, and are trying to shut down the tourists in coffee shops, etc. I'm sure other things as well, but I haven't stayed there in about 4 years, although I was in Amsterdam back in February.

Its funny though, after I learned of this custom, I felt even better about being with my girl over there. She felt the same way. I've been in several situations thre where I really felt a hate for Americans and they were really upfront about it. Almost got into a fight once...
I still regret not fvcking this one dude up who was talking sh!t while I was with a female friend over there. Completely unprovoked. She really kept me in check, because I couldn't afford to have my passport blacklisted, since I travel for business and Amsterdam is a major European travel hub.

I can't help but sing Queen's "Bicycle Race" in my head every time I touch down over there, lol. So many fit, sexy women biking around all over the place. Even the mommies are dimes!

Yeah, I gotta get back over there...

I remember the video of Queen's Bicycle Race about 31 years ago. To be in the Netherlands during my travels it reminds me of that song.

Nice! You broke up with her to go back to the States?

SharenoHO,that is tragic but, it happens. I would hurt me if I had a Dutch girlfriend and leaving her to go back to the States.

I remember going to a Halloween party years ago, I remember it was a happy time. I saw the live band(who were white) was dressed up. The front men were The Blues Brothers, another member was a doctor and the drummer was dressed up as Buckwheat. I remember he passed me and said, "OTAY!" I laughed . He saw me and then he backed up and said to me, "I'm sorry. No offense." I told him that no offense was taken. I had a great time. I met a man from The Netherlands. He was very up front and funny. I remember he would tell me about those bath houses in Amsterdam and how he thought that sex was not a big deal over there as opposed to here. But this was in 1984. Sex was a very big deal back then. It still is now. I asked about meeting women in The Netherlands and he told me that if a woman likes me she will let you know it.

I never had that happen to me in Amsterdam during my many travels there plus, I don't know where the clubs are or a soul there. I love the Netherlands however.
