I got this email from the Louisiana Democratic party. This isn't surprising with the hicks, kkk, etc down here.Just a few weeks ago someone was killed at a kkk meeting for trying to leave. Thats why I have my concealed weapons permit. Don't leave home without it.

    Dear Louisiana Democrat,

The Louisiana Democratic Party has a special request to help a volunteer who worked for the Obama campaign in Shreveport. Kaylon Johnson was recently violently attacked, for no apparent reason other than his political beliefs. We stand with Kaylon and want to send a message that this type of senseless, violent assault on free speech and Democratic principles cannot be tolerated in Louisiana.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, Kaylon was assaulted and beaten by two men at a gas station in Shreveport. The attack left Kaylon with a broken nose, tear duct damage and cheekbone damage, and Kaylon needs surgery to repair the damage.
The two men punched and beat Kaylon allegedly because he was wearing an Obama T-shirt. Shreveport police and the FBI are investigating this senseless attack as a hate crime. A KSLA-TV Shreveport report on the attack on Kaylon can be found here:

Kaylon worked tirelessly for the Obama campaign. Always focused, always upbeat, Kaylon split his time between the campaign and Southern University, where he’s employed in the internet technology department.

Kaylon does not have health insurance, and LSU Shreveport estimates his surgery will cost $5,500. With the holidays approaching, we want to show Kaylon – and all of Louisiana -- that compassion and generosity can always overcome the politics of hate and fear.
A special bank account has been set up in Shreveport to accept donations for Kaylon’s surgery costs. Please consider donating $5, $10, $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help Kaylon.

    Bank Name: Capital One
Account Name: Kaylon R Johnson Donation Account
    Account Number: 5731909948
Donations may be made by calling Capital One in Shreveport at 318-674-3700.

    The bank’s mailing address is:
    333 Travis St.
    Shreveport, LA 71101

Checks can also be made out to Kaylon Johnsonand mailed to the address below:

The Kaylon R. Johnson Donation Fund c/o Handy Properties, LLC

    900 Market Street, Suite 208

    Shreveport, LA 71101

    Thank you for your consideration.

As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

    Sincerely,

I dont understand why people cant just express what they believe in without being torchered. The rednecks that did this to them just dont really understand what morals are because if they did they would have never done this to this man because of what he beliefs in.

I personally think we made and EXCELLENT choice for who became our next president. i think Obama is going to rock the white house and government. It is about time we actually get a president who is out for the people and not to make wars and stuff happen because they have power.

My prayers go out to this person who was serverly hurt. They will be punished for this crime because of Karma.

What is going on in Louisiana with all the racial-based crimes?

The right person won the Presidency, and I wish some people would just wake up and get used to seeing someone who is intelligent and professional (his music listening habits are not though, but no one is perfect) running this country. And I agree that like that whole Jena episode, a woman in Baton Rouge having to deal with racist graffiti and vandalism at her house, and this, the work of rednecks who can't stand and/or are simply not comfortable seeing a black man (really a biracial man) being President. These fools should be locked up.

This it tragic. People need to live and let live. Why do you have to attack someone just because you disagree with their political views or their color or gender or sexual orientation? I don't get it and I never will :smt009

Because people fear what they don't understand. People are afraid of things that are different than what they consider normal. Most of the time those people keep their fear quiet, but sometimes the wrong person is afraid, and they turn their fear to hatred. Hate makes people do some very, very stupid things.

Anytime you see some kind of "race" movie...the thinking is that the worst racism (back in the good-ole days) occurred in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia etc. Louisiana and Texas take the cake though when it comes to this sort of thing. It is times like this where the black power nationalist in me wants to take the two men that did this...and cut off their hands...before burying them under a pile of rocks up to their necks...and stoning them. Call down ChosenOne...just calm down.
