Why is Obama the most hated man in America? I have yet to see a sitting US prez be hated as much as Obama has been hated by Americans. why do you think that is? Lots of democratic congress and senate candidates dont want to be associated with him right now, obivously their seat is at stake. Michelle is the one going out there and pushing for dems in her husband behalf. She is telling them not to give up and quit on her husband. Obama has been labled, Marxist, communist, muslim, foreigner, socialist, Anti-capitalist, Unamerican, Odumbo, liar, Anti-christ, racist, divisive, traitor, war monger etc.... Even Bush for taking us to war that we should not have gotten involved in the 1st place has not been hated like this. The hate toward Bush did not really bubble till 2006, by that time Bush was a prez for 5 years. But Obama was getting slammed 6 months after living in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I know he has made mistakes and some poor choices, even myself has criticized him on this own board but I honeslty dont think he is not as bad as folks out there painting him to be. In this mid term election, America by in large has been energized by one major thing, which is hate toward this guy. Most dems I spoke too are disappointed by him and going to sit out tomorrow or going to vote for Repubs for the 1st time in their life. I think Obama run in the wrong era, it was easier to win the election in '08 coz of many things,,,, but the country is very hard to govern due to the many problems this country is facing with.
Wait until the Republicans take over the House of Representatives. Can you say, endless 'subpoenas' and 'impeachment hearings' over his birth certificate??:smt039 The fun hasn't started yet, people!!
The first thing I take into consideration is the mess he inherited when Bush was gone. (George W. Ass-Munch is IMO the worst president we've ever had.) I don't necessarily agree with everything Obama does or thinks about the issues, but at least he's been trying to do the things he said he would do. This makes him worth a lot imo. He knew that he'd get crazy resistance, but he's been doing his best to push through anyway. That shows that he's got the balls to face whatever adversity comes his way; the people who initially had his back who are now abandoning him evidently don't have any balls at all. I think so many people hate him for a combination of reasons (many that have little to do with the job he's doing). People hate him for being black. Many blame him for the mess Bush created when he was in office. They expected him to instantly clean up the mess without taking into consideration that these issues didn't spring up overnight & they can't be fixed overnight. The economy was already jacked up yet people want to blame & take their frustrations out on him. He's not Superman; he's only human. He also gets a lot of animosity for actually trying to do what he said he would try to do, & it pisses people off because I don't think our society expected him to do shit. He's not the first that clamied he was going to try to fix the healthcare situation but he is the first one to actually do something. People liked the status quo & they're pissed that he's fucking it up by rocking the boat. ETC., ETC., ETC.....................There are so many reasons/excuses people give for hating him, there are too many to count. Could he be doing a better job? Well yeah, but he could be doing a whole lot worse. His ass is trying. That means something.
He's not. But these past years have been hard times for a lot of people. Not saying it's right but they need someone to blame. Where is that "change we can believe in?" For some people, it's just not happening fast enough. Oh, and there are some plain ol' haters out there but most people just want jobs. Did I say people want jobs? People want jobs.
I don't know if people are insane or stupid for expecting President Obama to have pulled this economy out of a near-Depression in 2 years(!!). Now, instead of amending the healthcare bill and making it better, Republicans are talking about repealing the whole thing....and replacing it with what better option??:smt017
andreboba, My thoughts exactly. Americans these days are truly stupid and so impatient and they're expecting President Obama to pulling us out of bad economy really fast. It doesn't work that way. And, you won't be seeing Republicans going to repeal healthcare bill that was approved earlier this year, because as long as Obama in the oval office, it's going to stay like this at least until 2014 or 2015, that's where we will feel the impact of the healthcare bill. Only if President Obama gets a second term, then it's very impossible for Republicans to try at their hands to repealing healthcare bill. You know what? Republicans only cares about themselves, only think to help rich people, that's it. Never bothering to think for a beat about humans for a seconds who suffers nor very poor. Soon or later, Americans will feel very, very stupid for giving Republicans back in the driver's seat. Just you watch and I will laugh my ass off and said, "I told you so. You didn't listening to them! You have to learn how to be very patient!" Fucking hell...trust me, andreboba, they will regret their decision to vote for Republicans this year. I can't wait to laughing.
