Another one did it, this time it's a female using racial slurs. I don't remember her on from Idol until TMZ showed some clips. Man they just keep it coming! http://www.wltx.com/FYI/story.aspx?storyid=56260
She does look rough as hell in the mugshot damn,She was not too racist when she wanted to blow him off to get out of jail.
Why do yall care about what some white trash D list celebrity (and I use that word loosely) has to say about blacks? She should just be ignored and dismissed, all this publicity does nothing but strengthen her popularity. Same thing with Don Imus, ok he called a few girls nappy headed hoes, the sky isn't falling, black folks won’t lose their lively hood etc. Now Imus has a new show, bigger paycheck, and more fans, all because the situation was blown way out of proportion.
It aint about caring, I just posted it cause it was interesting because now it extended to american idol stars. Just something interesting PAT, and plus there is absolutey!! nothing wrong with pointing out racism especially when it with some fame behind their belt (d-list, a-list, etc.) Famous people have always hidden their racism, and now it comes out, thats good to know for awareness reasons.
Ken, racism didn't just extend to American idol stars, racism is in every genre, country, state, village etc etc. When celebrities are caught in the act of racism just like regular folk, it should come to no surprise or shock to us. I agree, there is nothing wrong with exposing racist, but the way these stories are ran in the ground and constantly talked about in the media only escalates the fame of these celebrities. Like I said before, look closely at the Don Imus situation. How in the world did a man, virtually unknown to a large segment of the US population, explode in popularity, gain a bigger audience, new job and a big fat new pay check? Imus maybe should've been suspended, but fired no way. If your gonna fire him, you might as well fire all the far right pundits and shock jocks. And watch for Dog the bounty hunter's TV show to return in another couple of months or so, just watch. Anywho, but I digress, there is nothing wrong with you posting this story, I just don't want to see this person (whom I've never even heard of) getting free publicity being splashed across my TV screen apologizing for using the N word and in the next month or so getting a new record deal & a nice hefty pay check.
We could blame the don imus situation getting out of hand on al sharpton when I say point out racism I don't mean do what he did. Im talking about being more smart in that situation. Surprise is the word for alot of people though when it comes to racism, we (us on here.) are probably not surprise along with others but alot of people are. Very few people are not surprise and think that racism only applies to the KKK & Nazis, alot of people are not aware that racism is everywhere. That is the kind of pointing out Im talking about, nothing to do with exposure and the ones who gain it after that it is simply because it wasn't handled and pointed out right.
Minorities already know that racism doesn't only apply to the KKK & Nazis, I'm assuming you mean non-racist whites are the ones who maybe surprised by these incidents. I think most whites are aware that racism exist, but choose to either ignore it because it doesn't apply to their lives or are just in denial about it.
That is what I meant non racist whites and people that are in denial. Plus not to mention as to why it is a good thign to always point it out, because I don't know if anybody saw this or not, but during hurricane katrina jesse jackson was on abc morning show and they held a townhall meeting and when someone in the crowd said was it racism as to why the repsonse was late jesse jackson was about to address it being a racial issue with FEMA, but this white guy (forgot who he is.) jumped in, more so interrupted jesse jackson and got racism out of the conversation. And that is what it is like when racism occurs, you always got undercover racist (is what I call them.) saying it is not racism and quickly getting it out of the conversation, I saw it other times as well.
