Julia's interaction with Chiwetel caused me to remember when she declined to answer when Howard Stern inquired (during a 1999 interview) as to whether she ever had sex with a Black guy.

 

I think that it is because of the fact that if she did admit that she did or even expressed an interest, her stock in Hollywood will crash and burn. I recall reading about an incident at a bar in the south where they were filming a movie(Crimes Of The Heart, I think) . A production crew member was denied entry because he was black. Julia stepped up and tol the manager or proprietor that the name of the establishment should be called Bigots.
