Yeah it's like I said he is one of those black gay guys that don't really like black men with white women. Hint the destructive relationships he puts them in. There are black people out there that believe in the so-called "Interracial Agenda".
G,I'm not as good as the other screenwriters who are brothers. They know how to push the right buttons.
Helen Mirren revealed last year she has a crush on Idris Elba. On of the very few IR-Friendly actresses out there.
Well, I am not, either. I had debated about writing a screenplay based on my novella. I still debate it. I believe that a writer must not consciously push buttons. The story becomes predictable. So a writer has to throw a curve. Remember the scene in Shaft where John Shaft meets the white woman in the bar and they get it on in the shower? It was a sexy scene. But not shocking. John was a man who caught the eye and stoked the sexual desire of a white woman. John caught the attention and sexual desire of any woman.
Helen Mirren is probably game to play anything that she finds interesting. She'd probably have no compunction whatsoever to have a sex scene with any guy half her age. I don't think she cares what others think. That's why she is so unique.
G,had you read the book written by Earnest Tidyman? I would like to know if that shower scene was in the book. Hope to get that book on Amazon soon.
I hadn't read the book. But I had read about John Shaft in a book about detectives in tv and the movies. The passage stated that John had no prejudices when it came to the women he sleeps with. It wouldn't be a surprise if that shower scene was from the book. But then, again, the scene could've been added in to spice up the film.
Has Morgan Freeman ever been young ? You know I'm always dissapointed when I Morgan Freeman get's interviewed. His thing, is playing the wise older blk guy, but in interviews, he comes across as the opposite, not knowledgable and bit arrogant and full of himself.
Now the only question is will a kissing scene make the movie's final cut. Remember Prometheus and Hancock? If so here is more great progress in the industry this time using two big stars.
Isn't it a British film, not an American Hollywood film? I don't expect it to be a big issue if it's a British film.
From Wikipedia: The Mountain Between Us is an upcoming American romance-disaster film directed by Hany Abu-Assad and written by Chris Weitz, based on the novel of the same name by Charles Martin. It stars Idris Elba and Kate Winslet as a surgeon and writer, respectively, who survive a plane crash and are stranded in High Uintas Wilderness with injuries and harsh weather conditions. The film will be released by 20th Century Fox on 20 October 2017 in the United States.
