There are a lot of white christian right wingers over here trying to justify this as a crazy lone gunman, and even a couple who think he was right.

This is a story from a left wing blog that I generally find tedious as hell, but he's pulled together some bits from some of the American right wingers that are really quite alarming:

He is being called a terrorist - in fact, what he did is being called the worst terroristic act since the Madrid bombings.

Well the article differs as do a lot of the media sources I've seen from the US. Perhaps it's changed in the last two hours, but as of this morning I was still hearing it.

A Norwegian WN mass killing Norwegian white people?? Does not compute.

A Progress party Norwegian mass killing future labor party kids at a LABOR camp...more plausible, imo.

A Christian killing in the name of anti-"Islamization" (his words), ok, but in killing, why did he kill non-muslims?? Does not compute.

So we know he's killed in the name of religion and politics thus far...him being a WN I haven't seen as of yet..there is a 1,500 page manifesto that will show us more of his sickening personal 'stance' I guess...

BTW, his favorite book is by a Jew. Not a WN trait, plus he said...

    (WN love nazis)

    and...

The sadest part is that Norway like Sweden only have lifesentance and the maximum is 21 years but they almost always get out sooner....so in 15 years or so he will be out again!!! That's scary!

And the prisons here is not like what I see in american tv where they will have "accidents". This guy will probably be held in private cells and so on to protect him.....You just gotta love scandinavia!!

He could receive (only) 21 years in prison, Norway's toughest punishment.

racist site and other white nationalist and supremacist organizations are FAR too deluded into believing they can do no wrong. They claim multiculturalism is the problem, yet they fail to realize that ignorance and their blinded intolerance is what's keeping the country from truly being uniform. They'll use any old scapegoat to reinforce some sickening and perverse ideology that doesn't exist.

This guy wall all over the place...definitely anti-Marxist.

Here are his views on a removed you tube before the killings...

(yes it sickens me, but I actually love the kind of music he chose even though he chose it to enhance his anti-sentiments)

That doesn't make a lick of sense at all. There aren't far left nut wing organizations who would go so far as to blow up facilities because "progress isn't made too quickly."

Last I recall, a lot of the menacing incidents and vitriolic hate stems from far-right organizations who use scapegoats to preserve their significance in society. If anything, mindless and nonexistent fear continues to drive these lunatics to the brink of delusion, so I sure as hell don't know where in the hell did you get that bit of info.

Name any left-wing organization throughout our world history who instigated anything relating to:

    1. Blowing up buildings
    2. Anti-government sentiment
    3. Brutal attacks on people
    4. Poisoning natural resources

The keyword here is REACTIONARY. And what is a reactionary? Someone who thinks the past is much better than the present. When "certain individuals" had the practically all the opportunities in their grasp just because they were of the "right birth". Who exemplify this altogether? Far-right nationalists whom are VERY quickly to use scapegoats to fullfill their own agenda.

Yes, you do have your fair share of extremists on both ends of the spectrum. Whether we're talking organizations that promote bullshit causes (see animal rights activism) or those with causes that impede on the natural social zeitgeist (hate groups), you must ask yourself:

"Which one is more of a danger and more likely to cause harm because of their idiotic and ignorant behavior?"

Chances are...they stem from reactionary ideas. So while "left-wing" organizations like PETA would go as far as to intrude into facilities to do outrageous things to make a statement, hate groups like the KKK and other reactionary/ultraconservative groups are more prone to attack people and society because they don't like the inevitable progression of the world.

And secondly, do not put words in my mouth. I have never mentioned Muslims as terrorists, nor would I make that assertion given that I know many of them personally who like to live their lives accordingly. Their religion is backwards yes, but their education and way of thinking is more akin to moderate to remote progressive leaning.

I have repeatedly told you I am not a socialist. In the last 30 years it seems that the left wing extremist groups (unless you count a few environmental groups) have left violence behind. Right wing extremists have not.

Thank you for the addition. I haven't forgotten about what these terrorists did to Dr. George Tiller.
