I wasn't crying victim, I gave you a personal account of discrimination against a "white person" I trained the guy, and about a year later when the next similar position opened they gave it to me.

I could go on and tell you:

How recently I was asked to train another new employee (a young black man from Nigeria) who has a degree, to go into the exact same position that a friend of mine, (a white lady with no degree and loads of experience) is also taking. There were 2 positions open at the same time in the same office.

My friend with the experience is going to be paid the exact same amount at the new young black guy from Nigeria, he has one half the work load and no experience, but he has the "almighty degree in B.S.) so what happened to equal pay for equal work?

But that would be a waist of time because it might be like talking to a wet loaf of bread. Just maybe!

I do my best :p. I just hate it when good people leave because others on the board accuse them of being something that they're not, like racists.

According to a few people here, all white people have to apologize to nonwhites for every bad thing that's happened in the past:roll:.

Either you have been brain-washed, or you just cant read.

I havent observed anyone being called a racist. (I certainly havent called anyone a racist...yet. But there are still plenty of days left in 2008.) And no one said that all...or any white people have to apologize for "bad things" that happened in the past.

If you are going to get on your soapbox and preach your nonsense, why dont you do little research on current statistics regarding how different racial demographics are treated in regards to financing for home purchases, discrimination in the workplace...oh, forget it.

Some people take the red pill...some take the blue pill.

Our current President George W Bush, is in fact in an IR relationship, his wife is Hispanic, I didn't see an issue with it. Oh, my does that mean that Laura Bush was indeed the first "First Lady" of other than white ethnicity?? Why didn't we hear all about making history 8 years ago?? Just an observation!

Hey Tinkerbell, are your sure its the First Lady, Laura and not JebBush's wife. I know she's Hispanic...never heard this about Laura.

I heard Laura was actaully a democrat before she married George.

I have. Plenty of times on this forum I have read where individuals were called racist. Anyone who's not liberal-left politically is always called bigoted. Trust me, it happens

I didn't say discrimination didn't still happen. Of course it happens. But every time a black person gets turned down for something doesn't mean that there's racist intent. Maybe they just didn't qualify. And two, none of this is the government's business. People should be allowed to associate with whoever they want to. People have the right to be discriminatory, I believe

You are correct Dex!!! If you don't fit into a certain mold and agree with everything some people think-then they classify people as morons! That is what is wrong with the world today-the reason wars don't end, things are never resolved in the middle east-and on and on.! Some people always have to be 100% right about everything! Some people refuse to ever see anyone else's point of view and never learn that even if you disagree with someone you don't have to name call, and be so condescending! It's called mutual respect even when you strongly disagree.:D

Ah, Jellybird, don't be so sad! We love you anyway. :smt055

You're welcome to agree to disagree, just don't say that snide remark of "mighty white of you" again. OK?

Of course I say white comments, their perfectly innocent, guess what? I'm white! Just be nice and let me know that some people might get offended at them, see, then it educates me, since you think I am in such need of education anyway, help me out here!!
