Keyshawn Johnson just sent out the BEST wedding invitations ever -- iPad 4s -- each pre-programmed with all of the 411 for Key's big day ... TMZ Sports has learned.

It's pretty badass.

Here's what we know ... the iPads were sent to several guests a few weeks ago -- and once they're powered on, a program opens informing the recipients about Key's wedding events.

Also included -- a photo gallery, guestbook, and countdown to the big day.

The couple also made it easy for guests to buy wedding gifts -- by including the registry right on the iPad.

Of course, the woman Keyshawn is set to marry is Jennifer Conrad -- his longtime GF and the mother of 2 of his children.

It'll be Key's second marriage.

Congrats!

There is a magazine ; I think it is called Morningstar. It is found next to the bridal magazines at any magazine section of any store that sells magazines. In it are profiles of engaged couples and newly wedded couples. Their stories and their plans for their wedding day. There are also interviews with feature wedding planners. There are advice columns about customs and superstitions. Whether or not to use a dj or a live band at the reception. Bachelor/bachelorette/engagement/wedding rehearsal parties. Locations for the wedding. Cakes, et cetera.
But the main attraction is in the catalog. There are literally hundreds of ideas to make the wedding day unique. So many gifts. Including cake topper figurines of all races and ethnicities.
