I have to overall agree with your predictions Bryant... and thanks for giving my poor Niners some respect!
Bryant, Bryant...10 and 4??? not good enough bro Ok...here are mine...let`s see who wins on monday Atlanta over Arizona...we agree Cowboys over Titans...the Titans are also BAD Colts over Jets...no upset possible...Peyton Manning can`t be stopped by the average NYJ secondary Dolphins over Texans...The Texans do not have an offensive line... Bills Over Vikings...only bcoz Buffalo plays at home! New Orleans over Carolina...my biased pick San Diego over Baltimore...the Ravens almost lost to the BROWNS!!!...and Shawn Merriman can not be stopped!!! Kansas City over San Francisco...SF post Rice, Young and TO...well...just not good enough!! St Louis over Detroit...The lions have no idea what they are doing on offense! Cleveland over Oakland (but a close one I think) Jaguars over Redskins...Brunell won`t complete 22 passes in a row in a row against Jacks!! Cincinnati over New England...even though it breaks my heart!! Chicago over Seattle...No Alexander for Seahawks...and they play on the road...Bears win Philly over Green Bay...unless Favre remembers some of his monday night heroics!!!
I think the Cincy-New England matchup will be very good. I give Cincy the W in that as well. Also I do see Chicago taking it over the Seahawks. The Madden Curse continues to do it's work folk.
GOSH!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I will NEVER doubt Brady and the Pats again!!!! Each time you think they are dead and buried, they just come alive...THEY ARE JUST KILLING the "Baby Bengals"!!! Jeez!!!! I`m happy though, I`m a Brady-Belichick fan! ps: Blacktiger must be elated!!!
it was not a good football day for me.. I usually go watch the game with a friend who has Sunday ticket and it didn't work out this week... so missing the Vikings was actually OK.. Haven't had a chance to figure out yet how my FF points worked out yet though. I almost forgot to swap out some players in time.. I have three Giants on my team and they had the bye week.. that would have sucked!
Jeez, what the heck happened to Cincinnati?? :smt102 They definitely made my pick look bad...lol and sorry Jrem, i knew the Saints had to go down this week against Carolina. The Panthers are just too good a team to be 1-3. The Saints will probably bounce back with a win next week i'm sure. But how bout those Chicago Bears. We've definitely gotta be considered the favorite team in the NFC, along with Philadelphia. But if we played head to head against the Eagles, i'd still feel really good about our chances. Wow, what a great NFL season it has been!
yeah, i saw that Colts Jets game (see i told you it would be close Jrem  ) and even though the Jets kept making impossible plays, you can't leave a player as great as Peyton Manning with that much time left on the clock. He's gonna drive down and score every single time. I've never seen Joe Montana play, but in my eyes, Peyton Manning is the greatest quarterback of my generation. I love the guy. He's truly a great player.
I saw Joe play a bit mostly in his last years when he was in KC and he was incredible even if he was on the wane. I'd compare Peyton to someone like Marino. Tom Brady would be the more accurate comparison to Joe Montana imo. Also anyone see what Alfred Haynesworth did stomping on that dude during the Cowboys-Titans game? I hear he got a 5 game suspension and he won't be paid at all so he's out $190,000. On top of that the dude he stomped Cowboys center Andre Gurode is thinking about pressing charges since he got 30 stitches to repair the damage those cleats did to him.
Those damn Panthers!!! well remember though, they were 1 and 7 in 2004 I believe...and the Saints beat them at home and kept them out of the playoffs!!! What happened to Cinci??? a quaterback called Tom and a rookie called Laurence! Jeez...the bears are a force to be reckoned with!! WAIT...you think Philly is a favorite in the NFC??? hmmm...how about the Panthers? How about the Cowboys? How about the Hawks (despite the loss yesterday, they won`t go away that easy!!) Damn, I`m 9-5 this week!! not good enough!!
Well, i've had another good week! I went 12-2 with my picks Cincinnati just got flat out shellacked, and Detroit came close to pulling an upset in St.Louis, but still, a loss is a loss nonetheless. But how about my upset special huh...the Texans over the Dolphins. I saw it coming from a mile away. And by the way Jrem, 9-5 is really good! Just like when you said my record of 10-4 wasn't that good i was like...huh?? because most of the so-called experts usually hover around the .500 mark with all their picks. Man, we should get paid for this.
Yeah, i totally agree with you on that one. He is more of a Dan Marino type of passer, and Tom Brady from what i hear does resemble Joe Montana better than anybody. So let me ask you this, we all know that Dan Marino was probably the best pure passer of all-time, so if he had've won a superbowl or two, would he be considered the greatest instead of Joe Montana you think?? By the way, Albert Haynesworth should be suspended for the entire season for what he did. That was just plain wrong.
Bryant I think that if Dan had won at least one Super Bowl everyone would be talking about how he's the greatest QB ever. He has the numbers but just couldn't win the big one. If you asked me who I thought was the best QB ever I'd say John Elway.
Hey y'all. Let me tell you how lucky and honored that I am to see Tom Brady play every week. Yes, he is Joe Montana reincarnated. He is a getting a little more mouthy now and not as calm as he was, but look at who he's throwing to. Then again, John Elway had the same problems. So I digress... BTW, the best QB of all time is Johnny Unitas, who walked the walk and talked the talk in a time where WRs got "bump and runned" all over the field rather than the one time. Talent wasn't as good as it is now, but it was as manly and probably dirtier. I take Unitas. Elway is up there, as well as Montana and now Brady. Marino had the stats, but was totally out of control with his WRs, yelling and screaming. I had to watch Drew Blesdoe for 10 years here, and while he will go to the Hall of Fame, you can't win with him, because he is a) immobile and b) unwilling to learn the things he can't do, which is throw short intermediate passes, dodge defenders or throwing that pick with 2 minutes left in the game. His QB IQ in my opinion, for five plays a game, is nonexistent and it kills him. Just had to get that off my chest. I have issues. I thank god everyday that Brady is with the Pats. After the dismantling of those so-called contenders which are the Bengals, and the sure destruction of those Fins tomorrow, we will be 4-1 in an easy division with an easy schedule. I expect 12-4, a bye, and a push to the Bowl again. By that time, Doug Gabriel and Chad Jackson will have the timing down with Brady, and Maroney and Dillon will carry us with the running game. Our front seven is as good as anyone in the game. So I like our chances. Go Pats!!!!! Black Tiger
I have to agree with the fact that Brady is a GREAT quaterback...I haven`t seen any of the others play (Montana, Unitas, Marino) live, but think to me the most impressive quality in Brady is how tall he stand in the pocket, totally ignoring the big hit that is coming! the Pats will win their division easily, and yes, they will be a threat come playoff time!! the QUESTION is WHO WILL WIN IT ALL??????? The BEARS???? Personally, I go with the Pats!! yes, again
circle the date fellas....NOVEMBER 26th @ New England. that's when the Monsters of the Midway are coming to town! and sorry for not posting my picks this week Jrem. i've been really busy with things, but next week i'm gonna keep my red hot streak going....LOL
I am looking forward to it, it's going to be a gritty, nasty war of attrition. I expect the Pats to win, but it's going to be ugly. Hopefully, no one on our side gets hurt. Edit: Tom Brady stands tall because he is 6'5. People forget that. But yes he is unflappable in the pocket. BT
A few thoughts before sunday night football!! Jeez, these BEARS sure are scary!!! Just like we said, New England is way too good for their division! and they might prove themselves to be the team to beat in the AFc again...pretty soon!! REGGIE!! REGGIE!! First of many touchdowns with the Saints!!! YEAH!!! The Cowboys NEEEEEEEEED a better quaterback!!! how many times does Bledsoe throw interceptions at crucial times?????????? Matt Leinart is going to be a STUD in the future!! The Colts almost lost to the...TITANS????
Blesdoe is awful, just an awful game manager, and when you need him to bail you out, he either throws a pick or gets sacked. I KNOW from experience. I really don't have good things to say about him other than he throws a beautiful deep throw, WHEN he hits it. Drew Brees has very mcuh suprised me over the years. I knew he was good at Purdue, but I didn't know how it would translate to the pros. He has always been accurate, but his arm strength is underrated. Good luck to the Saints, god knows they deserve it. Bye for the Pats this week, two road games, and then back at home vs. the dreaded Colts, whom we should smoke again. Yes, we lost to them last year. But we'll make adjustments and Manning will be flustered as usual. We have their number. BT
