The only reason why i chose Carolina is because they're a super bowl caliber team, and there's no way that they're going to let themselves have an 0-3 record. Unfortunately, one of these teams has to lose and become 0-3, but i don't think that Tampa Bay has a super bowl caliber team. So, in a close call, Carolina over Tampa Bay by 2 or 3 pts. And will somebody please get Chris Simms out of the pocket so that he'll stop getting his passes batted down...LOL!

I agree that the Bears-Vikings game could be lower scoring, but c'mon, i don't see an upset happening this week. The Bears will stay hot, and their run game will finally come alive, improving their record to 3-0 for the season and setting up a showdown with the Seahawks in week 4.

Nope....not underestimating Pittsburgh at all. This game could go either way. I just like the way that Cincinnati's defense is playing right now, and Ben Roethlisberger still looks a little rusty.

As far as Indy-Jacksonville, i think Freeney will play, but even if he doesn't, the Jags never really get any sacks on Peyton Manning anyway, and i think the Colts will be able to move the ball just enough to get the win.

No way are the Bills gonna beat the Jets with the way that Pennington is playing right now. :)

That New England, Denver game will be close. It'll be decided by 10 pts or less guaranteed.

And sorry Jrem, the Falcons will take down the Saints on monday night. Michael Vick and Warrick Dunn are playing out of their minds right now, and their signing of John Abraham in the offseason was worth the first round pick. That guy is scary good. However, it will be a close game guaranteed.

I read about what Atlanta is doing. There throwing in college football plays into the offense and it's working. Of course they won't be doing it too much as teams will figure it out sooner or later.

John Abraham will be out Sunday...he still has a groin injury...

I am telling you, the Saints in this venue, will play out of their mind too...the defense will focus on stopping Warrick Dunn (nobody can stop Vick); look against Tampa, they only scored 14 points (ok, their kicker was awful) but with Simms playing a little better, the Falcons may have been 1 and 1 right now.

Meanwhile, the Saints offense will score on them...Brees is way better than Simms...and without Abraham, and even with Deangelo Hall, this Saints offense can score on Atlanta defense!!

It`s going to b a heck of a monday night game!!!

ps: I agree with you on the Carolina-TB game...but it will be in Tampa and trust me, Gruden must have been all over Simms this week in practice...the Bucs will play better...it will be close!!!

That was such a great game against the Vikings. I'm so glad we pulled it out. Rex Grossman is officially my new favorite player. :D Oh and one last thing, those Seahawks are REALLY, REALLY good. I knew they'd beat the Giants, but i didn't think they'd do it so easily. I'm definitely not looking forward to my Bears playing those guys, but the game is in Soldier Field so we'll be ready for them.

By the way Jrem, i really misfired on that Detroit Green Bay game. There's no way i thought old man Brett could throw for 350 and 3 touchdowns without a pick. He's thrown so many picks over these last few years, i've forgotten what it looks like when he doesn't. And i would have been right about Arizona, but i think they fumbled the ball before they could kick the winning field goal. They're such clowns. :? Oh well, only 2 more predictions left....New England over Denver, and Atlanta over New Orleans....let's see what happens. i hope they make me look good....lol.

    Hey Bryant...
Yes, Rex saved the house after he almost sold it...but Da Bears are definitely a scary team when you think that their quaterback now can win games for them in the decisive minutes of the game!!

YES man, you underestimated old man Brett Favre...he showed you :)

So far, New England is struggling a bit...and NO will make you look bad hahaha...GO SAINTS!!!

And poor Tampa Bay...now Chris Simms is sick (removed spleen) their season starts like a nightmare!!!

Jeez Shanahan really has Belichick`s and Brady`s numbers...

Well, let`s hope the Saints do the same thing to the Falcons tomorrow! (underdog over the favorites!!)! :):):)

Yeah i agree with you Jrem...i don't know what's happened to New England. Tom Brady doesn't seem like the same player, and i really think the organization made a huge mistake by not keeping Branch and McGinest around a little longer. After looking at this game, i'll be surprised if they even make it out of the first round of the playoffs.

On another note, i feel real bad for Chris Simms. I hope he recovers and makes it back this season. He's a good kid, i like him.

    Jeeeeeeeeeeeez!!

    I am still speechless...
The SAINTS shut down not only Warrick Dunn, but Mike Vick himself!!!

    Re-birth of a FRANCHISE...wow!!! :D:D:D

Hey, there is another football-sound poster here!! :D

Your analysis on the Pats problem is reaaaaaally good!!

I thought about the loss of Patten while watching him with the Redskins...he isn`t doing well over there, while he was playing really good with Tom Brady!
Losing both Givens and Branch in one off-season...the Pats seems to be over-confident in their ability to turn average players into superstars!!

The secondary is definitely suspect...the 2nd touchdown by Walker should never have happened!
Harrison will regain his confidence...now, I think he still thinks a bit too much about his injury last year!

Brady is GREAT...like you said, no one to throw to...New England is going to the playoffs, but I think they will be ousted in the first round!

And watch out next week against the Hot TIGERS of Ohio!!

Jrem, i am eating crow right now. I have to give it to your Saints, they're P-R-E-T-T-Y good. They completely took apart Michael Vick and that Falcons run game. I am soooo shocked by that. I didn't think they could do it. They're offense was never my concern, i just didn't think that they had enough skill players on defense to match up with Vick's speed, but boy was i wrong. I don't know if it was the crowd that they fed off of or what, but i'm impressed with the Saints. I think they have a real shot at making the playoffs now. And the Super Dome looks really NICE!! I'm so happy for all of the citizens of New Orleans. They're getting their lives and their city back, and their football team is headed in the right direction. You guys definitely have a team to be proud of Jrem

    Thanks Bryant...
I alsways loved the Saints, even before I moved to New Orleans...but now I`m really proud of them!
I already felt that their defense had improved after the first two games...but now against Vick and the Falcons!!

You know, the emotion lasts a quarter or so...but even late in the game, with the Falcons in the red zone, they just kept harassing Vick...

The coaching is really good...Sean Payton is a real Parcells-no nonsense-disciple!!

I think they have showed the rest of the league how to play against Vick...MAKE HIM PASS as much as possible by crowding the line of scrimmage like crazy!!

Now tough, tough test at Carolina next week...but if they win that one, they really have a shot at winning that division...:D

I was so happy to see the Saints won last night! Pesonally even though they aren't my team, I hope they go all the way to the Super Bowl this year.

Okay, my record was 10-4 last week if you guys somehow missed that...lol but here are my picks for this weeks games:

Atlanta over Arizona (I like the falcons in the Georgia dome)

Cowboys over Titans (Julius Jones will have a big day here)

Colts over Jets (but a much closer game than people think. I actually think the Jets can pull an upset here)

Texans over Dolphins (my upset special of the week. The Texans will stun the Dolphins at home)

    Bills
over Vikings (The Bills are at home, and their defense is improving)

Carolina over New Orleans (The Saints are a good team, but i really like Carolina in this game)

Baltimore over San Diego (Philip Rivers is on the rise, but not this week against a stingy Ravens defense)

Kansas City over San Francisco (This could be a shootout)

Detroit over St. Louis (The Lions knock off the improving Rams team in another upset)

Cleveland over Oakland (The Raiders are just bad, bad, BAD)

Washington over Jacksonville (Jacksonville is really good, but i like the way the Redskins played last sunday)

Cincinnati over New England (New England just doesn't look like the same team right now)

Chicago over Seattle (my only biased pick this week....lol)

    and

Philadelphia over Greenbay on monday night (McNabb is my quarter of the season MVP so far, with the runner up being Rex Grossman of course. )
