Well, of course i'm anti-Packers!! lol the Cheeseheads are my sworn enemy, along with the kitties, and the Viqueens. :) however, i give credit where credit is due. the Packers are playing extremely well right now, and it just seems like their year. every break is going their way honestly. they're having the kind of season this year, that my Bears had last year. big plays on offense, and turnovers on defense. and they even have a running back now. Ryan Grant. i only pick against them because i'm trying to keep a little hope alive for my Bears getting back into the division race. i really did think the Chiefs would win that game though. honestly, it's just hard winning in Arrowhead, no matter how bad the Chiefs have been lately. Pack came out with the win though anyway, so they deserve props. that's gonna be one heck of a game against the Cowboys in a few weeks!! :)

Wow, Bry, you just had a BAAAAAAD week huh? :D 5 and 9!!!

    Alright, here are the updates:

    Kenny (Damn it!!!) went 11-3
Cris, Wed and I went 9 and 5
And my main man, the Bear Bryant followed the example of his beloved Chi Bears and went...well...south!!! :) 5 and 9!!

So here are the standings: (Last week in parentheses)

    Kenny: 84-46 (73-43)
    JREM: 80-50 (71-45)
    Cris: 78-52 (69-47)
    Bry: 75-55 (70-46)
    Wed: 71-59 (62-54)

The battle continues...Kenny distances himself a little bit...Cris bolts to second place...Wed narrows the gap and already gave his week 10 picks...mine are coming later this week!! Bry, watch out, if you continue to gamble like that, you will soon be last :)

Guys, sorry to step into the football conversation but...you know, you really need to understand that the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl and winning it this year! December 9th's game against the Pats ought to make that clear!!!

Hah! OK, sorry to hate on you Rose, but this is the year of Brett Favre!!! This is probably his last year, so you KNOW he will try his damndest to get one more Super Bowl ring.

So the Packers are definitely Super Bowl bound this season (not that I am biased being from WI  ) We have that problem around here - having blind faith in our team regardless...kind of like Cubs fans  . Only difference is that the Packers are AWESOME!!!!

PS - I am going to the Packers/Vikqueens game this weekend - at Lambeau field!!! Woo Hoo!!! That will be a fabulous defeat

I hate to bust your collective bubble, but this is the "Year of the Star", more specifically the Blue Star of the Cowboys. Yall should understand that there's no stopping them with the Romomentum and no quittin' Witten/TO, aka "White Chocolate". Them pokes will be playing for a sixth Lombardi in the Superbowl against the Colts!!

Psht, whatever! The only reason the Cowgirls might have a snowballs chance in hell is because Tony Romo was born and bred in Packer county - WISCONSIN!

whoa, whoa, whoa!! we have an awful lot of homers on this board LOL. the Steelers, Cowboys, and Packers are very good teams, but the only GREAT teams are the Patriots and Colts!! the only hope for our respective teams to win the super bowl is if Tom Brady or Peyton Manning both go down with season ending injuries!! lol

Yeah, too bad Reggie White isn't around anymore - he would sack the crap out of those two young'uns! Not that I condone violence ;)

btw, isn't Tom Brady just an unseasoned version of Favre? :)

He might have been born and bred in Wisconsin, but he's wearing the Star now baby;-)

Hmmm...I guess you weren't in Dallas when the Pats gave your Boys a good ol ass-whipping huh? Oh, but that's right, you are in Virginia!! :)

And oh by the way, the Boys may be hot, but you guys sure don't want to play the resurgent Saints in the playoffs, bcoz I'm sure you remember what they did to your boys last year on your home field??? and that's when they thought Romo was the second coming of Joe Montana, when he is more like a "very poor man's Brett Favre! :)

I agree with you, Rose, December 9th game is gonna make it clear...I mean, Roethlisberger plays like a man, and december 9 after the game, he will cry like a baby!!! :D

Different team, different year my man. 'Poor Man's Brett Favre', well everyone has to start somewhere. Besides for the first time in years the 'Boys are playing like a team. And don't forget, the 'whoopin' in by the Patriots was less on the field than on paper. Yeah I know, SCORE BOARD, but the whole game was a different story. The Pokes or on the rise, the Pat's have nowhere to go but down.

Let me just say that I LOVE that we can talk so much shit about football! One of the few places on this forum where we can be full of ourselves and opinionated w/o anyone taking it personally :D

PS: less than 3 day's till the Packers/Vikings game! If you are watching the game on tv, I will be the loud petite drunken blonde chick on the 30 yard line

Oh yeah, let's talk some smack, Brewcity chick...

I'll watch some highlights of that Packers-Vikings game, and try to spot you, with your cheese-hat! :) watch out though, at that 30 yard line, you'll see something wearing purple blow by Packer defenders like a bullet...that's Adrian Peterson...:)

    I am sorry! :D

I disagree! :D You can say what you want about the Packer's penalties, sub par running game or that fact the Favre (despite the fact that he is GOD) still throws those damn interceptions - BUT the Packer's defense is tight!

Although, I wouldn't mind seeing Adrian's fine azz running past me :p

Guys, i've been really busy (as you know, my twins "arrive" in 4 days) and i haven't had time and i'm kinda busy now too so i'm going to have to make this muy rapido.

Atlanta Hawks vs Carolina Panthers - These two teams are as good as my 5 year old cousin right now but someone has to win and Carolina stand a better chance.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers - The Packers have the biggest pass-vs-run yardage disparity in the league, averaging 218 more yards per game through the air than on the ground. That should do the trick against a run-happy Vikings offense.

Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs - Well they both suck, but i think Kansas have a superior offense.

St. Louis Rams vs New Orleans Saints - The Saints have averaged over 30 points a game during their four-game winning streak. Everything is going well for them.

Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers - This one would be closer than last week's mauling of Baltimore, but the Browns are not as talented enough to beat Big Ben and Co.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tennessee Titans - Jacksonville will be without Marcus Stroud whilst the Titans have Albert Haynesworth. So they'd win this and i believe that the winner of this game will finish second to the Colts.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins - Sorry, but the Eagles are pathetic. Washington are a decent team with a better coach, and a much superior defense.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens - I remember watching the home correspondent of this fixture earlier in the season where the Bengals totally outplayed the Ravens, with Ray Lewis spending much of the time on the bench because he was hurt or some shit. These two potential preseason playoff teams have been sorry as hell, but the Bengals have been less sorry.

Detroit Lions vs Arizona Cardinals - Better defense, superior QB. End of story.

Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants - Another game i remember watching earlier in the season - in fact, it was on the opening night. The Giants have gone from a fucked up team who gave up 45 points to a gritty, sack-happy focused team. And that's why i picked them.

Chicago Bears vs Oakland Raiders - I'm sure even Bryant  will agree that the defending NFC champs have been anything but impressive, but they should able to get back some pride against a Raiders team that has dropped the last four games.

Indianapolis Colts vs San Diego Chargers - The Colts probably are still sulking from that close defeat last weekend by the almighty Pats. Meanwhile, the Chargers have been one of the biggest letdowns of the '07-'08 season, with LaDainian Tomlinson looking 1/5th of the MVP player that he was last season. Antonio Cromartie will have to play 3 times better if the Chargers are to win this.

San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks - I'm sure ESPN could have picked a better game for Monday night. A classic example of the worst the NFC West has to offer.

Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins - Whilst my team goes for their twelfth consecutive defeat, i shall be consoling myself all week (and pre-occupy myself) with the birth of my twins.

....... For once, we don't get to talk about the Pats. God, it feels strange to do that.

Okay, i have a lot of catching up to do for last weeks debacle. That's the second debacle i've had this season. I CANNOT have a third lol. Let's see if i can do better this week. :)

    Atlanta at Carolina
Two poor teams, but because somebody has to win, i'd rather pick Carolina at home than Atlanta on the road.

    Minnesota at Green Bay
Vikings have Adrian "All Day" Peterson, a man amongst boys in their backfield, but the Packers have ol' Bretty hooking up with long bombs to Jennings, Jones and Driver. Vikes have a poor pass defense, so i'm taking the Packers to win at home (are you happy now Brewcitychick....i finally picked FOR the Cheeseheads! LOL)

    Denver at Kansas City
Denver is horrible. I'm picking the Chiefs. Enough said. By the way, big ups to one of my favorite running backs Priest Holmes, as he gets the start this week after sitting out nearly 2 years due to injury. Nobody thought he would play again, but i can almost guarantee they won't lose a step with him in there and LJ out for a while. Also, Jared Allen is a beast off of that end. Can anybody block that guy?

    Buffalo at Miami
**sigh** i never thought i would see the day when i actually pick the Bills to win a game. Lynch is the real deal though at running back, and that Losman to Evans connection is always lethal. and hey Cris, with the first overall selection in the 2008 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins select..... :)

    St. Louis at New Orleans
Saints are on a roll, and they'll continue that roll until they play some better competition. I wonder if Stephen Jackson is playing for the Rams this week though?

    Cleveland at Pittsburgh
The Browns have an explosive offense with Winslow, Braylon Edwards, Jurevicious, and Anderson, not to mention Jamal Lewis running the rock, but the Steelers are a more complete team with Big Ben, Hines Ward, and fast Willie Parker. Not to mention they had some no named guy on defense (James Harrison is it?) fill up the stat sheet the other night against the Ravens. Browns are good, but Steelers keep rolling here.

    Jacksonville at Tennessee
That Jacksonville defense isn't what it once was. They got hammered by the Saints, giving up something like 450 yards passing to Drew Brees and that offense. The Titans are good defensively, and they can keep the chains moving by running the rock, so i'm picking the Titans to win at home.

    Philadelphia at Washington
The Eagles are a bad team right now for whatever reason. I guess they just don't have the personnel to get it done this year. They got obliterated by the Cowboys last week. That was embarrassing. I HAVE to pick the Redskins, cause the Eagles have shown me nothing lately.

    Cincinnati at Baltimore
Wow, the Ravens are a shadow of their former selves. They can't pass to save their lives, their coach is slightly incompetent, and their defense is banged up. The Bengals aren't very good, but right now their skill players are still better than the skill players on the Ravens, so i'm picking Cincinnati to win, even though i'm not sure about this pick at all.

    Detroit at Arizona
Because i have so much catching up to do in the win/loss column, i can't pick the same teams as everybody else. I'm going to have to go out on more limbs/take more chances to get caught up. I don't like the Cardinals in this game, but i'll pick them here just because of the reason i just stated above.

Dallas at NY GiantsI think the Giants have a great pass rush, which is good against Tony Romo. I really like the Cowboys in this game, but i have to keep picking the underdogs for a couple of weeks so i can get caught up with you guys again. Hopefully the Giants get me a W. I HATE the Cowboys. T.O is a bum, and i hate that stupid look that's always on Tony Romo's face LOL.

    Chicago at Oakland
Two average/mediocre teams squaring off. You guys know how much of a huge Bears fan i am, but i call it like i see it. This team is mediocre right now. I wish Rex Grossman was starting, maybe he could give us a spark, because Grieseballs just plain sucks. I hate him. I don't know whose going to win this game, but if Lane Kiffin is stupid enough to do what he said he would do, and that's kick to Devin Hester, i like our chances to come out with a victory.

    Indianapolis at San Diego
The Chargers got obliterated by the Vikings last week, and the Colts lost a close one to the Pats (even though they got caught cheating by pumping crowd noise into the stadium lol). The Chargers are just too inconsistent, and it all starts with Philip Rivers. He's taken a slight step back this year. Colts win.

    San Francisco at Seattle
The Niners are horrible. And Alex Smith is a complete bust. As a matter of fact, they should probably take another quarterback in the first round next year. Seahags aren't very good either, but anybody is better than the Niners. By the way, is this game really a monday nighter? **yuck** Seattle wins.

Whoa, I'm late late too for my picks for this week guys, but here are my predictions:

Atlanta at Carolina: The Falcons look bad, the Panthers look bad but are still better!

Minnesota at Green Bay: Favre is probably taking HGH, so...(hehehe, Brewcitychick just hates my guts now!!!!)

Denver at Kansas City: Denver looks lost both on offense and defense!

Buffalo at Miami: The question is: will the Dolphins go 0 and 16?

St Louis at New Orleans: Rams are dangerous at 0 and 8, but Saints are on a mission!

Cleveland at Pittsburgh: Steelers are the 3rd best team in the NFL!

Jacksonville at Tennessee: The Titans win ugly, but they win!!!

Philadelphia at Washington: Did Philly look bad against the Cowboys last week or what? and now they are pointing fingers all over the place!

Cincinnati at Baltimore: Ravens get a little revenge from their spanking in Pittsburgh

Detroit at Arizona: I believe the Cardinals will have enough to upset the upcoming Lions

Dallas at NY Giants: Another upset pick...this time the Giants D gets the job done!

Chicago at Oakland: Will the real Bears please stand up? Oops they are, already...and they kinda suck...but Oakland sucks even more! :)

Indianapolis at San Diego: Colts will be mad after losing to the almighty Pats and take it out on the inconsistent Chargers

San Francisco at Seattle: Seahawks are in such a WEAK division that they will win it even with a 9-7 record
