Man, I went 10-4...not too bad, but Wedlock killed us!!! Wed is now 55-48 (43-46 last week) Cris is now 58-45 (49 -40 last week) JREM now 62-41 (52-37 last week) Still waiting for Bryant and Kenny to give us their scores and have the complete scoreboard!!! I'll bring in my picks for next sunday later this week!! Peace
I went 10-4 this week (darn you Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore!@ lol) Since i was 51-38 last week, i'm now 61-42, which means i still didn't do enough to get back on top! But like i said, that time is very near.
By the way, that Pats vs. Colts showdown in two weeks is gonna be one for the ages. I'm gonna have my popcorn ready for that one. I can't remember a more anticipated game in November. It literally is the super bowl before the super bowl cause we all know none of our favorite teams are gonna beat either of these two teams in the playoffs lol.
Alright fellows...it's that time again...the week goes by fast... Our man Kenny-g went 10-4 as well last week (blame it on Baltimore, Tampa, Houston and your beloved Steelers, Kenny ) The standings before next sunday are: Kenny-g: 63-40 JREM: 62-41 Bryant: 61-42 Cris: 58-45 Wed: 55-48 The race on the top is tight...Cris and Wed, you guys have to step up!!! Here are my picks for Sunday and Monday: Indy at Carolina: Peyton and Brady will face each other undefeated!! Detroit at Chicago: The Bears seem to find life Pittsburgh at Cincinnati: The Bengals are on life support NY Giants at Miami: Will the circus in London get to the G-men?? I don't think so!!! Philadelphia at Minnesota: Hmmm...will th real McNabb show up?? Cleveland at St Louis: Upset...Rams win their first!!! Oakland at Tennessee: Oakland is who we tought they were!!! Buffalo at NY Jets: Chad Pennington is also who we thought he was Houston at San Diego: If they play, chargers win Jacksonville at Tampa Bay: Without Garrard, no chance!!! Washington at New England: Tom to Randy, Tom to Wes, Tom to Donte, to to whoever... New Orleans at San Francisco: Saints are slowly finding their groove!!! Green Bay at Denver: GB isn't who we think they are!!! Alright fellows, bring it!!!
(Drumrolls) Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears - Both teams have improved a lot, but Chicago will bring the Lions back down to earth. Oakland Raiders vs Tennessee Titans - Vince Young may not be 100% but he needn't worry against this shitty team. Cleveland Browns vs St Louis Rams - I don't think so, JRem. The Rams aren't good enough to pick up a win yet. Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings - I have a feeling that McNabb will disappear like he always does. Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals - Seriously, this team has got to stop losing to inferior teams. Hopefully, that won't happen again here. Indianapolis Colts vs Carolina Panthers - I really cannot wait for "the game" in two weeks time. Meanwhile, both teams will continue to stroll past their opponents with ease. Houston Texans vs San Diego Chargers - The Texans have been losing games they could easily have won, and for that reason this one would be tougher - and lost. New Orleans Saints vs San Francisco 49ers - Reggie Bush is finally playing like Reggie Bush and not like Regina Bush. Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets - I really am unsure here, but my guts says the Bills and so i chose them. Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers - These two teams, along with Baltimore, have hurt my record the most . But i think the Bucs have this one if they play defense. Washington Redskins vs New England Patriots - 7-0. New York Giants vs Miami Dolphins - I really think the English wind will blow the Giants cold, but for some reason i think Miami's poor streak will continue. Green Bay Packers vs Denver Broncos - If they Packers do what the Steelers did not do last week, they'd be fine. Denver is not as good as they think they are.
Im now 63-40 but jrem already posted that up good look bro. You still right behind me though I got to start pulling away and only way Im going to do that if I go undefeated so here is ONCE AGAIN another attempt at it, I've been analyzing hard this week so lets do this: INDY over CAR - Yeah it is going to be an undefeated showdown between pats and colts. Quite possibly game of the year. CHI over DET - Detroit is a fluke bears should wake up on that...Everybody should wake up on that for real. PIT over CIN - Come on steelers, you can't let it go three in a row losing to team with losing records, they are better than this, really need to stop underestimating these losing record teams and beat em like they stole somethin  NYG over MIA - Not even moving the game to london will help the dolphins out. G-men's defense are down right scary. MIN over PHI - My upset pick, I just don't see that philly run defense shutting down peterson and that very good offensive line. CLE over STL - cleveland will win because they have a little bit of an offense and that is all you need to beat STL this season. TEN over OAK - V.Y. returns, and pulls it off, this team can score without him though so If he messes up he can probably get benched, damn when is he going to show up this season like he did last year, it seems like he didn't even come out the gates yet. And JREM yes OAKLAND IS WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!! SD over HOU - I think it is safe to say...THEY BOYS ARE BACK   BUF over JETS - They can score on a tough defense they should be able to score on a semi tough defense, come on now jets defense is not baltimore whoop some ass help me on my way to a perfect week. TB over JC They lose Garrard, they lose confidence, they lose period. NE over WSH - I hear new england is holding funeral services in washington for somebody...I think its the redskins  But in all seriousness here is one of the very few good defenses that the pats meet this year, lets see if they got the blueprint to stop them  I had to laugh just saying that. NO over SF - Now new orleans is quietly winning, sneaky little buggers. DEN over GB - I think denver found it's stride, or was it just emotion in the PIT game.
Good picks everybody. I'm only 2 games out of first place, so i'm not out of this thing yet. I'm feeling like i'm gonna bolt over Jrem this week. 8) here we go!! Indianapolis at Carolina Vinny Testaverde at quarterback?? don't think so. i'm in agreement with everybody else. the showdown with the Pats next week is too big and too important for the Colts to lose this game. Colts win. Detroit at Chicago I'm not one who believes this is going to be an easy, cake walk game for the Bears. we still haven't put two halves of good football together yet. Griese is getting it done in the fourth quarter, but in quarters 1-3 the offense is stagnent still. i think we'll win the game because we're at home, because we want to desperately go into the bye week at .500, and because Detroit has what's coming to them, but until the coordinator lets Griese do his thing for the entire 4 quarters, and until Cedric Benson stops running like a pansy, every game we play will be close. Bears win by 4. Pittsburgh at Cincinnati I think this is a trap game for the Steelers. The Bengals scored 38 points last week. It was against the sorry jets defense, but still. I think Cincinnati could win, as a matter of fact i think they probably will win, but i don't have the guts to pick them in the upset. I'm staying safe on this one and picking Pittsburgh, even though i think they'll lose in Cincinnati. NY Giants vs. Miami (in London) Giants vs. Dolphins?? does the commisioner really think this game is going to popularize the NFL globally?? pulease. i think the Dolphins could win because Cleo Lemon isn't that bad, but the Giants defense is just plain nasty right now. Giants win a close one. Philadelphia at Minnesota I think Peterson could single handedly win this game for the Vikings, but Tarvaris Jackson just plain sucks, and his backups suck worse than he does. The Vikings rank almost dead last in pass defense, and Donovann McNabb has been finding Kevin Curtis for long passes this season, so i'm picking the Iggles to get back on track in the metrodome. Cleveland at St. Louis I think St. Louis could very well win this game, because they're at home, and Stephen Jackson is finally coming back from injury, but i think Clevelands offense is the real deal. I can't explain how they're doing it, but they are. I'll pick the Browns to win here. Oakland at Tennessee I picked the Titans last week because i knew Kerry Collins could step in if need be and get the job done. I still believe that. Even if Vince Young is struggling, they still have a very capable backup that can win them the game, so i'm picking the Titans to win at home. Buffalo at NY Jets If Eric Mangini decided to go with Kellen Clemens for this game, i would say Buffalo, but Chad Pennington is a veteran, and they scored 31 points against the Bungles last week, so i'm picking the Jets to win at home. Houston at San Diego Matt Schaub is banged up, and the Chargers are motivated to get the win because of what's going on in their city. Sounds like a recipe for disaster for Houston. Chargers win big here. Jacksonville at Tampa Bay I think Jacksonville could come in and run the ball all game long and keep it close, but because Maurice Jones-Drew is a little banged up, i don't think they'll be able to do it in this game. Jeff Garcia is a pretty good quarterback (as long as he doesn't fumble at the goal line like he did last week lol) Bucs win a close game here. Washington at New England If this game were being played in Washington, i think the Redskins and their defense would stand a much better chance to win or even keep it close, but because this game is being played up in Foxboro, i don't think they have a chance, or any other team for that matter. Nobody is going to go up to New England and beat the Pats in their house this year. Nobody. Next. New Orleans at San Francisco I think the 49ers have a really good chance to win this game. I'm just not gutsy enough to pick them in the upset. I think they'll keep it close, but not close enough. Saints win here. Green Bay at Denver I think Green Bay is starting to come back down to earth. Brett is starting to turn the football over a little more, and if it weren't for a lucky play against the Redskins, they would have lost that game. It's hard enough to pass against Denver anyway, not to mention they're playing at home. I'm picking the Broncos to win here.
Cris, i like the way you do your post game wrap-up/analysis, so i'll do mine the same way. Indy vs. Carolina- Colts were supposed to win, and they did. 1-0 Chicago vs. Detroit- I already know you guys are gonna blast my Bears for their poor play, so let's have it. They deserve it cause they stink right now. They stink real bad. I guess it's time for Benson to sit, and it also might be time for the Kyle Orton era to begin. Griese sucks. I miss Rex. 1-1 Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati- I thought Cincy would win this game, but i picked the Steelers anyway. I'm glad i did. 2-1 Giants vs. Dolphins (in London)- :smt015 3-1 Philly vs. Minnesota- I knew McNabb would hook up with Curtis in this game. 4-1 Cleveland vs. St. Louis- Rams would have won if Jackson didn't get re-injured. I'm glad i picked the Browns though. Braylon Edwards is a beast. I hope the Bears make a run at Derek Anderson in the off-season too. He's a real good player. 5-1 Oakland vs. Tennessee- I didn't watch any of this game, so i don't know what transpired, but i'm glad the Titans got me the win. 6-1 Buffalo vs. NY Jets- My oh my, how far have the Jets fallen. They lose at home to the Bills of all teams?? wow. Chad Pennington is a bum. And i admit that i was wrong. I miss Thomas Jones a lot now. Come back Thomas...PLEASE!!!! 6-2 Houston vs. San Diego- I knew the Chargers were gonna lay the smack down on the Texans. They're probably the 3rd best team in the league right now. Well, i'm sure Pittsburgh, Dallas, and GreenBay have something to say about that though. 7-2 Jacksonville vs. Tampa Bay- I knew the Jags were gonna win, but i was too chicken to pick them. Darn it. 7-3 Washington vs. New England- I'm secretly rooting for the Patriots because they have my favorite player on their team in Moss, but the way they ran up the score on the pathetic Redskins is just that, pathetic. they need to quit. seriously. By the way, they're gonna spank Indianaplis next week anyway. 8-3 New Orleans vs. San Fran- The niners look like hot garbage, and the Saints are playing much better of late. They could still win their division with the way that Carolina and Tampa Bay are playing. Good job Saints. 9-3 Green Bay vs. Denver- Wow, thanks Brett for dashing our hopes of still winning the division. Not that we're good enough to win it anyway lol. The Packers just keep on winning. I hate to admit it, but Brett still has "it." He's still a great player, even after all these years. They're gonna be tough to beat if he keeps playing like this. 9-4 Judging by my record, i don't think i did enough to jump over Jrem. C'mon guys, let's see your records. By the way, Wedlock, let's try and keep it all in the same thread okay.
Shit, i cannot believe i forgot to do my postgame analysis yesterday. Okay, let me get it done now. Bry, i am starting with your dear Bears. Seriously, does Mitt Romney own your team, because the way you guys flip flop is amazing. One minute, Griese steps up as a good sub QB and the next, he can't even pass in the end zone without getting intercepted (4 times at that). You know the Bears aren't making the Super Bowl this year, right Bry ? Tell the Bears thanks for giving me a bad start   0-1. Honestly, the Titans have one of the most underrated yet mean defense in the league. Whenever Vince Young isn't playing well and their offense is not going well, their stellar defense allows them to win games they might otherwise lose. Their defensive line pressured Daunte Culpepper from the get go and in total, they had like 5 or more sacks. Sounds like a playoff team to me. 1-1. The Cleveland Browns/St Louis Rams game was one of those games i really do not give a shit about so i really cannot tell you what happened (well, i saw the highlights on ESPN but don't remember what happened). Did you guys know that before this Sunday, i could name only three players on the Browns roster and they are Brady Quinn, Jamal Lewis and Derek Anderson. That's how much i don't care for their team (or games). But i picked them and they won so it's all good. 2-1 Donovan McNabb arguably had his best game since the Lions game a few weeks ago. He completed 23 of 36 passes for 333 yards and a touchdown. But he shouldn't get to share the pie by himself - the defense was equally awesome. Trent Cole was always putting pressure on the Vikings, who relied on their running game, albeit to no success. Kudos to the Eagles!!! 3-1 Did you guys know that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is 9-0 in his home state of Ohio (4-0 at Cleveland and 5-0 at Cincinnati). I picked up that fact from nfl.com. 4-1 In all sincerity, this league right now is all about two teams only - Indianapolis and New England - and the Colts proved why that remains true. They made the Panthers look like a bunch of high school kids with their 31-7 pummeling. I really am anticipating "the game" but until then, the Colts will do their share of ass-whooping. 5-1 Even the Houston Texans must have felt the heat when they came to San Diego because boy, did they look burned out (pun definitely intended). The Chargers scored 21 points in the second quarter to take a 35-3 halftime lead. Good looking. 8) 6-1 The Saints did good against the 49ers. Drew Bees finally found his form and connected on 31 of 39 passes (to 10 different receivers) for 336 yards and four touchdowns and made 10 consecutive completions. That's tough to emulate. 7-1 Somehow, i knew that Buffalo would win their game. I really don't know why i picked them other than for the fact that they play okay defense when it counts. But who cares, they won and i won. 8-1 In my opinion, the Tampa Bay/Jacksonville game was the best of the week. The lead kep changing from time to time and even though i lost this pick, i feel really proud in saying i did because Jacksonville did a good job in denying me the pick. 8-2 Once again, i ain't bandwagoning here but this game was over before it even got started. The Patriots, if they beat the Colts, have a really good chance to go 16-0. (On a lighter note, i did it in my first season with the Patriots on Madden NFL '08 8) ). 9-2 The Giants/Dolphins game really wasn't worth the hype in my opinion and i was right. Jesus Christ, did you guys see the "field" of play? That game was messy as fuck, giving way to dropped passes and turnovers. I doubt they'd ever stage a game in London again. 10-2 About the Packers/Broncos game, i simply have one thing to say: Greg Jennings is one of the best WRs in the league. 11-2 Man o man, i went 11-2. I really cannot believe it. So where does that put me? Me thinks 69-47. Not bad, not bad. I'm catching up fellas. Post all your scores.
Damn the BEARS, they keep messing up my record!!! Damn ST LOUIS as well, and TAMPA BAY and DENVER, for all losing at home when they could/should have!!! alright, I went 9-4...so Bryant, you won't catch me like that...Cris is creeping up...NOT good! Damn, I believe Kenny went 10-3...which sucks...Wed, keep picking against the Saints, they'll mess your record too!!! Alright fellows, here are the records this week (last week in parentheses): Kenny-g: 73-43 (63-40) JREM: 71-45 (62-41) Bryant: 70-46 (61-42) Cris: 69-47 (58-45) Wed: 62-54 (55-48) Tight race at the top...Kenny has a two games lead on me, Bry is three games back of the top and Cris is only 4 games back!!!... Wed has a little bit of catching up to do, but it is still anybody's game!!! Later for the week 9 (Armageddon week) picks!!!
Man, JREM, you're really close to top spot. I've got to step up more. Apart from Wedlock, we're not far off each other ...... at all. Bryant is only ahead of me by a point and you're ahead of him by one. Kenny G is ahead of you by two. Anyone can win this thing. I gotta work harder now.
Well, fellas, the game we have been anticipating all season is at our feet. And to think, we were just talking about it a week ago. Anyway, enough talking and let's get this shit cracking. San Francisco 49ers vs Atlanta Falcons - To God, i cannot give you a straight answer as to why i picked Atlanta to win. Actually, i think i do. It's because they've been playing well as of late. I have a feeling that Frank Gore will come through, but as you guys know, i love to stick to my gut. Cincinnati Bengals vs Buffalo Bills : God, could one ask for a worse game? The Bills play good deffense and call brilliant special teams but where is their offense? And that's why this one belongs to the 'Gals. Denver Broncos vs Detroit Lions - The key here is Jon Kitna. If he comes through, yay for Detroit but if he doesn't, i'm afraid the Broncos will go back to the Mile High City with another win. Green Bay Packers vs Kansas City Chiefs - Okay sure, you might think i'm crazy for picking the Chiefs but jeez, did you see the Packers against Denver? They got away with bad defensive plays and the Chiefs have Larry Johnson, you know? And for that reason, they won't get another road win. San Diego Chargers vs Minnesota Vikings - Did you guys know that the Chargers have outscored their last three opponents 104-27? Also, did you know that the 'Gers are going to win this game? Jacksonville Jaguars vs New Orleans Saints - The Jaguars were lucky against Tampa Bay last week and here's why - Quinn Gray had an abysmal passing performance. If they repeat their performance against the Saints, they'd lose, no question about that. And i think that the Saints will prevail. Washington Redskins vs New York Jets - Last week, the 'Skins got embarassed by the Pats. But that's not saying much about Washington as the same fate has befallen every opponent of the Pats yet. The Jets have problems with their QB and they'd lose to the Redskins, who are actually a decent team with some brilliant players. Carolina Panthers vs Tennessee Titans - The Titans' defense is superior to the Panthers' offense, or is it not? Arizona Cardinals vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Kurt Warner isn't performing. Seattle Seahawks vs Cleveland Browns - The 'Hawks have got enough rest after the bye-week and D.J.Hackett is back. Houston Texans vs Oakland Raiders - The Oakland Raiders should be able to win this one now, can't they? Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles - This game has been ignored whilst we all are jumping on the hype bandwagon, but it should .... wait, scratch that, it WILL be interesting. If there's one thing that Philly fans hate more than the Eagles losing, it's the Cowboys winning. But the Cowboys look much better than they did this time last year. The 'Boys have more offensive firepower and there's no way the red-zone-challenged Eagles will win whilst scoring 3 points a drive. Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers - The Ravens are really screwed. Three of their next four opponents include the Chargers, Patriots and the Colts. And the last team you want to face with such a lopsided schedule is the Steelers. They (the Steeler) are a brilliant passing team and if they strike early, expect them to run away with this one by at least 9 points. And last but not least........ (DRUMROLLS PLEASE ......) New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts - At last, the moment we've all been waiting for. These two teams have been destroying their opponents like Mike Tyson would destroy Urkel. To be very honest with you, not a lot is at stake at this point. Neither team will knock the other out of the playoffs. Bragging right? Not even close as that has been the case since the beginning of the Brady-Manning face-off. But inspite of all that, the Pats will win. Now both teams have their weaknesses. For example, Tom Brady gets pressured when he's flushed outta the pocket and the Colts fumble when they are blitzed from the inside. But the Pats will win because they have way too many offensive options. Granted, the Colts' pass defense is good but Tom Brady will find his secondary targets easily. Also, the Pats are a much healthier team. They have no new injury concerns whilst the Colts have two of their key players missing in Marvin Harrison and Tony Ugoh. However, when it's all said and done, it does not mean that the winner of this game will automatically win the Super Bowl. In fact, the loser could walk away, learn from their mistakes and improve for the next encounter with the psychological upper hand. But do not be surprised to wake up on Monday morning to hear Colts fan grinding their teeth.
Good picks Laydeez... It is time for me to make a big SPLASSHHHHHHHHH!!! Here we go: San Francisco at Atlanta: The Birds are roasted! Cincinnati at Buffalo: The Bengals' D is just awful... Denver at Detroit: Could these Lions be for real??? Green Bay at Kansas City: For some reason, I don't like Brett's pack! San Diego at Minnesota: Your QBs will get u nowhere, Vikings! Jacksonville at New Orleans: Saints are emerging as a threat again Washington at NY Jets: Redskins get revenge from last week's embarassment! Arizona at Tampa Bay: My upset special!!! Carolina at Tennessee: Titans win ugly, but they win!!! Seattle at Cleveland: Seahawks are rested! New England at Indy: They might actually run up the score folks!! Houston at Oakland: Can the Raiders actually win convincingly? Yes! Dallas at Philadelphia: Cowboys on a roll, Eagles are high, but they go down! Baltimore at Pittsburgh: These Steelers aren't talked about much but all they do is win! There you have it...hopefully these guys won't let me down!!
Really good, intriguing picks from everybody. This is actually the kind of week i've been waiting for. You know, the kind of week where all the games are being played between two evenly matched teams, and it becomes more of a crapshoot trying to predict who wins each of them. This is the kind of week that can either propel me back to the top of the standings (where i belong ) or all the way towards the bottom. Man i hated being at the bottom. Well, let's get this show on the road boys. San Diego at Minnesota I don't think there's really any way the Vikings win this game. I think it'll be close for 2 quarters, due to the Vikings defense and running game, but the Chargers will pull away in the second half to seal the deal. The Chargers are playing really good football right now. You gotta be impressed with that. Carolina at Tennessee If i'm not mistaken, Tennessee is able to run the ball, and stop the run on defense. I don't watch many of their games because they bore me to death, but i have taken notice of them as a legit team. Carolina just doesn't have the passing game right now. They'll lose again to the Titans. Arizona at Tampa Bay Jrem, i think this was a good upset pick. I agree with you. I think the Cardinals are going to win this game somehow. Garcia is good, but he doesn't have the running game to compliment the pass anymore, so i'm picking the Cardinals in the upset as well. Washington at NY Jets After seeing the Jets last week against the Bills, there's no way i'm picking them to win another game this season. Well, unless they're playing against the Dolphins or something lol. Jacksonville at New Orleans The Saints are putting on a show offensively. Reggie Bush is going from "bust" to "better" but still not "great." however, he's getting the job done for the most part. if the Jags were at full strength for this game i would pick them to win the upset, but they're not, so the Saints will probably move the ball better and get the win. i'm nervous about this pick though because the Saints have such a swiss cheese defense still. oh well, let's just see what happens. San Francisco at Atlanta Well, let's just put it like this. The Falcons have zero offensive weapons/threats, while the 49ers have two, in Frank Gore and Vernon Davis. I think that will be enough to get them the win here, despite playing on the road in Atlanta. Cincinnati at Buffalo I swear that J.P. Losman to Lee Evans connection is lethal. all he does is fling it up there and Evans comes down with it every time. it's amazing really. however, i will in no way shape or form pick the Bills to win this game. i still think they're garbage. i'm not sold on them yet. i'm picking the Bengals to win, even though they're garbage too. Denver at Detroit For some reason, the Lions still seem like a soft team, always have been. i'm still waiting for somebody to expose them for the fraud that they are. i don't know if Denver is the team to do it, but i'm hoping that they can step in and bring the kitties back down to reality, for my Bears sake. Broncos win. Green Bay at Kansas City There's no doubt in my mind that the Packers can come in and win this game, but i don't think they will. I think Brett will turn it over a few times for a Chiefs win. Larry Johnson will also have a big day rushing the football i think. Seattle at Cleveland I'm really torn on this one. The Seahawks aren't playing real good football right now, which is why i think their best football is still ahead. The Browns have been a real nice surprise, but i think this week is the week they come back down to reality a little bit. They can't continue at the offensive pace that they're currently at....can they?? Houston at Oakland Another tricky game. Matt Schaub isn't playing, which is a negative for Houston. However, Andre Johnson might finally get back in there, so that's a real big positive. One thing i do know is that the Raiders stink, but they don't stink bad enough to lose to the Texans at home. Raiders win here. New England at Indianapolis ("The Game") This game is going to live up to the hype. Trust me. Both of these teams keep going back and forth beating up on each other. It's truly going to be interesting to watch. The reason i'm picking the Patriots is because Peyton Manning has shown a tendency to meltdown against them in the past. He always throws untimely interceptions, whereas Tom Brady does not. That will be the difference in this game. The Colts will play well, but the Pats will play better. The Colts are a good team, but the Pats are a better team. It's as simple as that honestly. Brady throws for 345 yards and 3 scores, while Manning throws for 255 yards, 2 scores and a pick. He might even throw two picks. All i know is turnovers will be the difference, and because the Pats are more unlikely to turn it over than the Colts, i'm picking the Pats to win by 2 scores. Patriots 37 Colts 23. Dallas at Philadelphia- (Upset Special!) This is my upset pick for the week. I think the Philadelphia Eagles are going to play one of their best games of the season and knock off the Dallas Cowboys at home. Don't ask me how, i just have a gut feeling. McNabb will expose Roy Williams for the fraud of a safety that he is by hooking up with Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown for long gains down the field, and Brian Westbrook will expose their linebackers as mediocre (except for Ware of course). Tony romo will play good, but not great, and the Eagles pay back Terrell owens for all of the sins he has committed against them. Revenge is sweet. Eagles win by a touchdown. Baltimore at Pittsburgh The Ravens aren't very good, and the Steelers are at home. Baltimore can't score or pass, and the Steelers can. Pittsburgh is a complete team, while Baltimore is not. I don't know what else needs to be said other than i don't think there's any way in the world the Ravens pull this one out of their socks. Pittsburgh wins a semi-ugly game by a touchdown.
LETS DO IT!! BUF over CIN - Cincy is done for this year Im sorry...well actually their sorry. ATL over SF - I'll give their defense some credit especially against san fran's no show offense. DEN over DET - Denver bounces back, Im tellin you they have a good team it just have ignition problems no what Im saying? GB over KC - Brett and the packers go 7-1, if brett doesn't stop them then their defense will. SD over MIN - san diego is getting warmed up and minnesota is cooling down, all they got is adrian peterson but they are miseusing him they don't really have an offense all that great so what they need to do is what NO did with reggie bush and build an offense around adrian peterson and they are not doing that. JAC over NO - Jacksonville's defense is going unnotice with steeler's, pats, colts, and giants D getting all the attention alot of people are picking teams against them(including me at once.) not realizing they have a pretty good defense...they just met peyton manning that night aint nothing you can do about that  WSH over JETS - Oh if they don't redeem themselves they are sad, come on that was embarrasing last week, joe gibbs never had that happened to him. TB over ARZ - Garcia got all of his INTs out of his system last week they win, arizona against a good defense is can't score that much. TEN over CAR - I agree jrem they win ugly but win nevertheless, but that kind of play is going to run out pretty soon, they also need to do what NO has done and build their offense around V.Y. CLE over SEA - My upset pick, I think cleveland's luck runs out against the steelers  NE over Colts - Alright this took sometime but I finally settled on NE, but I don't see the score being high unless colts&pats D doesn't show up at all, don't see that happening these are teams with not only high powered offenses but very good defenses, so it will come down to who is more recognizable to who and since the pats made alot of changes they become less recognizable to colts so they win, because the colts don't have that much of a change from their last meeting. Whooo(wiping my forehead.) I hope Im right because that took all week for me to ananlyze. HOU over OAK - Houston down but not out, they still no how to score and play pretty good defense. DAL over PHI - Dallas has too many weapons for philly to handle. It will be close, because of dallas's so-so good defense. PIT ove BAL - If you notice the only two losts steelers had was because something got ran back for TD in the cards game it was a punt return or that game would of been tied and in denver it was a fumble return or they would of won 28-21. So I guess if nothing gets ran back then there is a pretty good chance they are winning. Alright all games carefully analyzed, thought out, took alot of time and thought and chats with the fellas lets go 14-0. or at least 13-1 with the analyzing of colts-pats debacle Im still kind of not sure  on, but a pick is a pick.
holy crap, i'm toast! this was by far my worst week picking ever. i think i only got like 4 games right this week.
Green Bay at Kansas City There's no doubt in my mind that the Packers can come in and win this game, but i don't think they will. I think Brett will turn it over a few times for a Chiefs win. Larry Johnson will also have a big day rushing the football i think. Man Bryant, I can really tell you are a Bears fan!!! Which of course automatically makes you anti-Packers Seems that you pick the green and gold to loose every week - glad to see they keep proving you wrong! lol But in all fairness, I do wish the Bears well. I actually felt bad for them a week ago when I saw the game on a tv at Union Station (I missed my train). Everyone was so silent, but I was happy to see that they at least they got some points up on the board! Although they aren't Super Bowl bound this year, I think that they might be in the near future
I was starting to get nervous based on the scores i saw on ESPN so i thought i'd do a review to see where i stand. This week, so far, has been the best and no, it isn't simply because of the New England/Indianapolis game. I picked the pathetic Atlanta Falcons to beat the equally pathetic 49ers for the simple reason that their mediocre rushing game and boy, was i right to do so? They had only 24 rushes and averaged about 4 yards per pass attempt. These two teams are sorry as hell . 1-0 Now that Chad Johnson is hurt, the Bengals are even more screwed. 1-1 The Lions have developed a reputation for being a brilliant defensive team but they really did their thing on offense against Denver. The Lions' offensive line allowed just one sack and Jon Kitna finished 16-of-31 for 252 yards and 2 TDs. That's a good line IMO. 2-1 Now i know that it's all about the AFC these days but in the NFC, the team worth paying attention to is definitely the team to look out for. They are doing very well (actually, they are 7-1). Tom Brady has Randy Moss, Peyton Manning has Reggie Wayne, Tony Romo has T.O and Brett Favre definitely has Greg Jennings. 2-2. Wow, the Chargers got really embarrased by the Vikings. Adrian Peterson set the single-game NFL record for rushing yards with 296, scoring on runs of 1, 64 and 46 yards. I'm telling you, thus guy has a future. 2-3 Drew Bees had a good game (he hit about 8 receivers or something). Although Maurice Jones-Drew's kickoff return deserved/s another look. Still, kudos to the Saints for totally shutting down Jacksonville. 3-3 If Washington's running game wasn't on, they'd have lost. 4-3 Tennessee's "D" doesn't get a lot of attention but they're one of the best. If their offense were as good as their defense, they'd rank amongst the best. The way they totally manhandled the Panthers shows the potential they have. 5-3 Joey Galloway has been doing his thing in the past few weeks and has formed a potent connect with Jeff Garcia. 6-3 Seriously, why did Seattle lose to Cleveland? I honestly can't tell you why. 6-4 I honestly gambled the Houston/Oakland game. I knew in my mind i wanted to pick Houston but i thought the Oakland will make good use of the home turf advantage. Obviously they didn't. 6-5 Philadelphia Eagles' fans can bitch all they want but T.O. was right to leave Philly. Obviously he's faring better in Dallas and actually stands a better chance to win a Super Bowl there. He's right, Philly fans still love him down there and that's why they hate him so much right now. They better worry about their team seeing as they are 3-4 and bottom of their division. 7-5 And the big one ....... As i predicted, the game was going to be won by New England, although i knew it was going to be close. In fact, for a second, Indianapolis looked like they were going to win. That is, until Tom Brady proved once again that so far, he's most likely to depose LaDainian Tomlinson as MVP. But kudos to the Colts, they exploited some of New England's weaknesses and it worked for them. Tom Brady was sacked a few times and Indianapolis' general defensive scheme was 9/10. But there just was no stopping Tom Brady last night and good play from Jarvis Green by recovering the fumble from Manning and running out the clock. However, it doesn't end here. It's too early to say who will win the AFC Championship game (that is, if both get there) but based on what i saw last night, i have to say Indianapolis - suprisingly. Firstly, the Colts played superb with several key players missing, namely Marvin Harrison. Imagine how they would have played with all those guys. Secondly, Peyton Manning made several bone-headed decisions like that pass to Reggie Wayne when he was fully covered. How would he not have been intercepted? But as we know, he can make crucial decisions and get them right. That's not to say Tom Brady can't do the same (or better) but Manning isn't called "The Passer" for nothing. More importantly, the Colts had a generally better defense. I know that Randy Moss is having a great year but what if he gets injured? What if he has a bad day? The other receivers were not as good yesterday as they usually are. The Colts play a better 3-4 defensive formation and that will be key. Of course, i hope i'm wrong. I despise the Colts (well, i don't mind Marvin Harrison as he's class) and there's nothing more i enjoy than them getting beat on home turf and hear their fans whining about not getting the "right" calls but personal biases aside, they still have the potential to repeat. 8-5 I went 8-5 for this very tough week. Not bad. If Pittsburgh win tonight, i'd be at 9-5.
NFL RESULTS(WK 9)AND PICKS FOR WEEK 10(11/11) I went 9 and 5 for the week of 11/4, which brings my adjusted record to 71 and 59 over all to date.My picks for week 10(11/11) are: KC,BUFF,GB,IND,SEA,PITT,NO,TENN,WAS,CAR,CHI, DET, NYG,and CIN as my upset special over Baltimore. Sorry for the mis-post on the teams for the Monday night game.I had Philadelphia v.Dallas for 11/5 which was incorrect; it should have been Baltimore at Pittsburgh.I picked Pittsburgh to win, however.
Wow, this looks like the 9 and 5 week!!! Thanks to these losers from San Diego, Seattle, Houston, KC and Arizona I went 9-5!!!!DAMN DAMN DAMN!! And I think that Kenny-g killed us again guys!...don't know his record, but he seems to have picked most of the losers cited above to actually...lose!! I hate you Kenny!!! Observations for week 9: New England is above everyone: to come back from 10 down, IN INDY, with all the penalties going against them was nothing short of heroic!!! Don't look now, but soon the team to avoid in the NFC is going to be the SAINTS!! They have won 4 in a row, beating the likes of Seattle and Jacksonville along the way...and Brees has his bionic arm back, Colston has his bionic hands back, Reggie is running inside...and the D is putting pressure on opposing QBs!!! And believe me, I am not saying that bcoz I am a fan, I'll say it when they suck...they are starting to look like that preseason NFC champ pick...so Cowboyz, Packers, Lions, Giants, watchout!!! Adrian Peterson is A MAN!!! soon he will be THE MAN!!! How about these LIONS??? wow!!! Sorrr for your Bears, Bryant...I am actually looking forward to a Lions-Packers game...wow...amazing!!! The Steelers made a statement! "Hey Indy, hey Pats, we're here!!!" Ok, we know that the Pats aren't listening anyway, they know they are the best!!!
